That is… until our family discovered King Oddball 🩶
I wasn’t sure I’d like it at first, but it was extremely easy to learn how to play & understand the game’s objective, so I figured I’d give it a shot… and I was instantly OBSESSED!
King Oddball is the 1 game that every member of our family loves to play individually, but even more so as a family — whether it’s for 30 minutes, or all afternoon on a rainy Sunday — there’s nothing that brings us all together like King Oddball.
When we play as a family, each of us takes a turn to attempt completing one of the many levels, which all vary in difficulty. Some levels we can complete on the 1st try… but others are no easy feat. They take a lot of strategic thinking, trial & error and a pinch of luck to figure out how to execute the physics & exact angles to perfectly time the release of King Oddball’s rocks in order to defeat all of the enemies. 1 level we played was so challenging that it felt impossible to beat… but instead of throwing in the towel and giving up, we all agreed that the level was our “Everest” and we would not quit until we conquered it as a team! Finally, after about 90 minutes of our joint attempts, my son was the one who beat the level… and the happy screams, cheers, jumping up and down, high-5’s and group hugs was an amount of camaraderie so far beyond anything I could have ever imagined would stem from working together to complete a single level of a game. Witnessed out of context, one might think we’d just won the lottery!
King Oddball will always hold a special place in my heart as the reason for bringing my family together for quality time to do something we ALL enjoy, and has remained our favourite game for years.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If I could give it 10 stars, I would ⭐️

Still my Number one time waster
I’ve played this game ever since it came to my windows phone years ago. I’ve since moved to Andre’s to my current daily driver, my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’ve gone through all the levels a few times but it seems as if they keep changing. Still the best.
Thank you mods for first bringing it to my Windows phone and keeping it alive though out the years.

When You Pay For A Game
when you pay for a game but are stuck on ONE level for FOUR DAYS plus, there’s something wrong with the game. Ridiculous waste of money.

King Oddball was one of the first digital games i purchased on my ps4 years and years ago near the console release. It was on sale, had good reviews and looked like a fun game. It ended up being just that.
The music takes me back and is probably going to be very nostalgic for me a few years down the road, I’d wager. My son and I loved the challenging gameplay and always break out in “woooah yaaah! Got it!!” cheers on those harder levels when we finally get a boulder to bounce our way. lol Tons of levels, too. Unique character and art style. Lovely.
Saw it on IOS here for just $3 and had to have it. Oh, and also played a game called “neon chrome” on Xbox game pass recently. Fell in love with it as well. Still playing it. It’s also on iOS, FYI. Little did I know it was by the same devs! Going to be looking at more of their game catalog and collecting them. At any rate, King Oddball is definitely worth the price of admission if you have a pulse and even remotely like games. 😁

Sound not working most of the time
I love this game and played it over and over when it first came out years ago. Just bought it on my current phone and the sound doesn’t work, except for the one day. I don’t know how to fix it. If I can get some help to fix that, I will update my review because this game is awesome. The music is a big part of it for me.

Super Spiel....ABER!
Spiel mit hohem Suchtpotential - jedoch leider nicht fürs iPhone X optimiert. Der Bildschirm wird nicht ganz ausgenutzt und es sieht eher verpixelt aus. Ansonsten aber super spaßig!
