Great Test Prep System

The content is thorough, and the questions, flashcards, and practice exams really test your knowledge—a great way to learn the material and pass your FAA knowledge tests. I passed my IRA, FII, and CAX all on the first try with great scores and am using this for FIA and FOI.

Best teachers

I really enjoy John and Martha as teachers. I got my private, instrument, multi engine ratings and now I’m doing my A&P mechanic license. The only thing I don’t like is that the questions aren’t always arranged to the video I just watch. I will watch a video on series circuits but it will give me questions on parallel circuits. Kind of frustrating.

A little strange

Weird that if you are in question review it won’t save your progress. If there 180 questions to review and back out after 100, you have to start from the beginning or click next 100 times to get back to your place. Same with flashcards. I’d really like to go through all 1200 questions but it’s pretty impossible with it going back to question 1 if I back out of the review section.

A&P test prep

The only thing I’d say could be improved is if you could swipe to the next question like on the main app. This is far superior to prepware.

Well thought out.

As a 15 year old, piloting is a great extracurricular, and this program really helps making it a reality, nearly halfway through with it and am really enjoying how thought out it is, would recommend if you’re into this stuff.

Good app

It helps me learn to fly

Great app, needs minor tweaking.

I love King schools and have used John and Martha’s Test prep for all my ratings! I love their simplicity and humorous approach. One of the features that I would love to see added in the King courses, is the ability to reset your progress through the modules. Yes, there are rather easy ways to have a time/date stamp for original completion for the FAA, while still providing an option for students to use when they are utilizing multiple devices.
Also, Roku please!!

PRECISE AND TO THE POINT

KING DEVELOPED OUT OF MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND THAT IS WHAT I NOTICED WHEN I WENT THRU THIS COURSE: RIGID AND COMPLETE. THANK YOU.

I love the flexibility and mobility that I get from the King’s app.
Very convenient on the go, I can study anywhere and at anytime.

Good Prep-Material for PPL

I found this material very useful and well guided for one who have no idea what flying is and what are the stores involved. This will material not only help you to address those questions but also help to get your FAA exam successful completed

Drone pilot exam prep course

Very helpful and very King classic aviation learning and fun. So grateful for you guys

Helpful, but frustrating

This app is a great way to study for the FAA written exams. My biggest complaint is that the figures are frustratingly hard to scroll. The image often won’t scroll down or jumps back to the top of the page while I’m trying to read the text at the bottom of an approach plate.

Minor frustration, but the app still works great.

Needs dark mode

I like to study right before going to bed, and dark mode would really help

Room to grow, glad I have it

I'm a PPL student doing practice tests for my written exam, and King Schools got me this far - 70% on my first go and getting better! Glad to have them, and this resource in particular!

I'm a PPL student doing practice tests for my written exam, and King Schools got me this far - glad to have them, and this resource in particular!

On the other hand, I think it has the same issue as almost every student pilot resource out there: very little context given around correct answers. I'm not personally great at memorizing, but I'm a pretty good student when I can put information in context.

Many of the explanations on the questions read like, "A is the correct answer because the correct answer is A." I'm in the habit of going to a third party resource now, looking up the "why," and then answering - if this app incorporated a little more teaching along with the quizzing, it would be 5 stars all the way.

Waste of time and money

I got this app to assist in studying for my commercial helicopter rating. This app, along with the entire King curriculum was a waste of time and money. A very small fraction of questions from the study guide was even on the test, like 4 or 5, and most of the information on the commercial course was pulled from the private course. I contacted them about the issues and they had the nerve to offer me a credit for another course! I wouldn’t recommend Kings to anyone looking to get anything past a private rating.

Mostly works

Charts are hard or impossible to view when zoomed in, where scrolling works inconsistently. Questions with formatted text require scrolling side to side to read, making it difficult to work out information in tables.
