About

Play King offline against computer opponents at a table for three or four. A round is made of deals: in the negative contracts you avoid penalty cards and tricks, and in the positive ones you set out to win them. New in 1.3 — King Club: 28 trials in four chapters, all open from the start. Each trial is one prepared deal with its goal stated up front: take no hearts, take at most one trick, finish above a given score. Each trial also has a separate mastery objective. Your goal and mastery are recorded independently, and one does not imply the other. Replay a trial as often as you like, walk through it trick by trick, and send one to a friend — the deal is what travels, not your result. Also in the game: • Daily Deal — the same deal for everyone, a new one each day. • 13 lessons that teach the rules on a real deal instead of a wall of text. Lessons and trials are separate, and progress is tracked apart. • Deal review: every trick in order, who took it and what it cost. • Statistics by contract and by round. • Table size and house rules, among them three modes for the boys: jacks, kings, or all eight of those cards. The game works fully offline. The daily leaderboard is optional: it uses Game Center and needs an internet connection. Everything else works the same without it. Sending a trial to a friend is a text message with the deal's code, passed through the system share sheet. There is no networked multiplayer. The progress backup is text as well: you save it wherever you like and paste it back yourself. There is no cloud sync and no account. No ads, no purchases, no subscriptions.

What's New in King

1.4

October 17, 2026

King 1.4 makes it easier to get back to the table. The new Home and Play screens separate your saved game, Daily Deal, King Club and friend challenges. The table has a refreshed layout for three or four players, including landscape. The Club now shows chapters, goals and mastery more clearly. Trial results separate this attempt from saved progress. New card backs can be earned through Club achievements. Manual progress backups still accept the earlier format. Before restoring, the game shows which data will be replaced. An unfinished game is not included in a backup.
