The early-game difficulty curve was over-tuned in 1.2.0. It's been rebalanced in the 1.2.1 update, now live — the opening should move a lot faster now, and get you to the crew systems, conquest, and the Soul Kingdom without the wall you hit. Worth noting the game is free to complete: every system is reachable without spending anything. Thanks for the feedback — it helps me identify gaps and rapidly improve the game. I'm not a huge gamer but I saw my buddy playing this and decided to give it a try. It's really engaging, the story really draws you in. Ads are minimal. Definitely a good way to pass the time, would highly recommend giving it a shot.

Absolutely hooked on Kingdom Reborn. The reincarnation mechanic keeps every playthrough feeling fresh — no two lives are the same with 600+ dynamic events and so many ways to build your legacy.
The Soul Companions like Vesper and Jormund add so much depth. If you love medieval strategy and life sims, this one is a must-download.

Captivating Life Simulator
This life simulation game is the best one I have ever played. The progression in lives is unmatched. The different eras and stages in each era keep the game interesting by allowing you to get better and better as you continue to play. The soul companions add a huge boost to your playing as you level them up. Truly addicting. Compared to other life simulators that I have played those feel like you are just playing the same life over and over. Kingdom Reborn allows you to play multiple different eras with completely different possibilities and every time you unlock a new stage or soul companion the game completely changes. I have not gotten to conquest mode yet but I bet it will be amazing once I reach it given how great this game has already been.
