About
Kingdoom is a little hand-drawn town that lives on its own. You are its god.
Ten settlers arrive on a bare line of ground. Nobody tells them what to do. They dig into the earth and haul the stone up, cut slabs by hand, fire bricks, and raise houses that grow a storey at a time, until the camp becomes a village, then a town. They marry, raise children, go to school, hold festivals round the fire, grow old and are remembered. Everything is drawn in black ink on paper, stick figures and all.
You have three tools.
WATCH
Leave the town alone and it turns into television: the camera goes looking for stories on its own (a wedding, a rescue, children at play, the festival fire) and captions what it finds. Tap anyone to meet them: their name, their job, what they are doing right now, their family tree.
BREAK
Smash anything that was built. Every house is made of blocks and falls like it, with real physics: walls crack, floors give way, towers topple. Use the fist in three sizes, Lightning that splits a building and may set it alight, or a Meteor that flattens all around. Then watch the town answer: people flee, come back, dig out whoever is trapped, clear the rubble and patch their homes with whatever is to hand. They build new floors on top of the scars, so every building carries its history.
GIVE
Hold a finger on the sky and pour stone, slabs, bricks, metal, logs or ore for the builders, or bread and grain for the hungry. Send a stranger down the road, plant a sapling, call rain, sun or a storm. People rush over to use what you give. Give too much bread and the crows get it.
A TOWN THAT REMEMBERS
• The chronicle keeps every birth, wedding, collapse and gift, with a small picture of the moment. Tap a line to fly back to where it happened.
• The town has an opinion of its god. Strike too hard and it builds you a shrine and leaves offerings at dusk; strike the same family twice and they pack up and leave. Be kind and the children draw your hand in the sand.
• Every stone has a story: tap a building to learn how deep its stones were dug and who laid them.
• The almanac keeps the town's firsts, its founders and its best moments, and makes a card you can share. Every town has a code, so a friend can found the very same valley.
• Day and night, seasons, rain, snow, fog and storms. At night the whole picture turns to ink and the windows light up.
• Close the app and the town waits. Come back and it lives the time you were away, up to three days, and tells you what happened.
PRICES, PLAINLY
Watching and giving are free. A blow that lands costs wrath (S 1, M 2, L 3, Lightning 4, Meteor 6); a swing that hits nothing is free. Your wrath meter refills one a minute, up to 30, even while the app is closed. If you want more:
• Wrath packs: A fistful of wrath (100), A jar of wrath (600), A thundercloud (1,500). Bought wrath never expires.
• The hourglass: 8× speed, for good.
• Endless wrath: Break costs nothing, for good.
