Kind of works? I guess?
After using this app for three years, I feel like I can say it’s maybe 80% reliable: the bus tracker isn’t great and sometimes the timetables don’t work, but all in all it’s pretty okay. What drags it down for me is how it signs you out every few weeks, forces you to sign in with authentication, and then makes you go through a long and unskippable ‘new user’ slideshow which wastes valuable time if you need to show someone your digital ID (e.g. to enter the library during student-only season) or double check which room your lecture is in. Without this issue I would probably give the app 3 or 4 stars.

Poorly designed
The KingstonUni app suffers from a cluttered user interface and an outdated design language. Items have been chucked anywhere on the page and there is little use of rounded edges. Navigating to different sections are prolonged because of added steps, animations are obsolete and make usage slower, and icons are not consistent with Unicode

I can see what they’re going for
but it logs you out every few weeks & makes you sign in with authentication every time, my timetable straight up disappeared for like 3 days, buses just occasionally vanish off the tracker and every other function is basically just a shortcut to a different website or app

It lags a lot and sometimes it doesn’t show the places where it needs to show.

Very convenient and has good system to accomodate system failures
Bus timetable broken
Used to work fine, but now the bus timetable is comepltly borken, the UI will fail to load and instead just show the raw code. Making it useless
