A strong competitor in the SQE prep space
A lot of what Kinnu does well is exactly what’s missing from many SQE support providers.
As somebody who passed SQE1 (FLK1 Q1 & FLK2 Q2), I relied heavily on Kinnu’s MCQs to challenge my understanding and consolidate legal principles. While I don’t think that Kinnu is your one-stop shop for all of your FLK, I found myself using it the most of all the top question bank apps (including those of my SQE course provider).
To be exact, the thing Kinnu nails is the answers’ structure. Many providers are able to supply you with difficult questions (that is, fact patterns), but it’s made easy because 2 of the 5 possible answers are immediately wrong. Kinnu treads that line where there’s minute detail between answers A,B and C so it’s preparing you for being able to spot those differences in the incredibly tight time constraints of the centralised assessment. The questions may read as easy, but you’ll be caught out by the fact that you didn’t differentiate between a single word in the answers. Ultimately, the exam is “single best answer” and that’s one of its most convoluted aspects. While I do think Kinnu has an amazing platform, allowing you to track percentage process and be really self-driven in your data analytics, I do think the AI model needs a lot of improvement. It works within very niche parameters and is often more misleading than helpful (in my personal opinion).
Overall, Kinnu is the right app for you if you’re quite self-disciplined, eager to get stuck into the questions that are more representative of the niche answers knowledge requirement of the SQE and you already have the SQE notes. I’d recommend.

Incorrect answers
Many of the questions have factual errors and errors of law in them. The explanations are not very good either they offer no insight. The AI chat bot is ok but not as helpful as is needed to get past all the errors
