What… haha

Uk Business owner looking to integrate this system into our stockists locations. 30 minutes in, no further forward. Entered 4 different payment cards, says we have got a seat whatever that means. Unable to launch kiosk display, just comes up with free trial with card information. Very confusing, is this company still trading

Blindsided

I don’t use the app enough to justify paying for it, there’s no reason they needed to discontinue the basic free version. I am not paying a subscription to display a single web page. I just wish they had given some notice so I’d have time to find an alternate. It’s a shame, because this used to be a really good app.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry that this caught you off guard. We let our newsletter subscribers know of the upcoming changes, but Apple doesn't provide us with end-user data, so we weren't able to let every user know. Good luck with your kiosk project, and please feel free to reach out if you have questions: software-support@kioskgroup.com

Was free. Now, unexpectedly, paid…

Turned up to an event to find myself locked out of my site, and this app now wants me to go through a migration process and pay. Screwed up my kiosk process as a result and left me without anything usable in the meantime. Stay away. I understand the dev doesn’t have a list of everyone who downloaded—but how about a pop up for a couple of months to alert people to the upcoming change, rather than leaving them stranded on site?

Junk

Free version is now completely useless now. Will never pay for paid subscription junk.

Bait and switch app

What was an app that had a free version that had all settings local and air gapped from needing an internet connection quickly turned into a pay for free trial, online only, AI slop unstable app. Used to point the app to an on network webpage. Now you can’t make any changes without needing a credit card prompt being filled in first. Just use chrome for full page data collection.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that this transition has not been a good experience for you. To continue supporting our apps, we needed to develop a subscription model and decided to offer a kiosk site builder and management dashboard to help make the subscription worthwhile, as this has been a common request from users. If you'd like to email us at software-support@kioskgroup.com we can help troubleshoot the issue you're seeing with your local network page not working in order to resolve the problem.
