Can’t even register
Been trying for days to register, won’t send the code. Very disappointing, wish I hadn’t bothered with this thing
App quality poor
Folks, quality is poor. There are tiny bugs here and there, string formatting errors that surface in some view panes. Please make it better because the potential is there.
Avoid
Had it couple months , battery is a joke. Barely lasts a couple days even with all the boundary’s set etc. app is glitchy and then even when tracker is charged it’s useless at pinpointing/ finding dogs location. Don’t bother I would say there are better
App is good, device takes too long to get gps signal
I purchased this device based on using a Vodafone curve, as I saw it was available on the same network, buying direct from Kippy it seemed to work ok, but I’ve found one floor, the time is takes to activate the live GPS is slow and does not always work, also the frequency of the updates is not good enough for tracking. The signal is poor compared to the Vodafone curve, I can only assume this is down to the device antenna.

Update has made it worse now it won’t open
Terrible
Dog left the house twice - heading miles away, tracker didn’t alert at all. Very unreliable. Have bought Tractive instead which is spot on.
App keeps crashing
Bought the device; downloaded app. Registered, but app keeps crashing and closing. Despite my software being up to date and plenty of storage. My partner also tried to do - and same thing happened on his phone. Have contacted support, if I don’t hear back, I’ll be returning the device.

We use this to track our cat and it’s so precise and helps us find him every time!
No way to remove the device from your app
There is no way to remove the device from the app. I have technical issues with the device for more than a month. I recommended avoiding Kippy.
Love Kippy
We’ve had our Kippy for over a year and it’s been fine. Battery life could be better and the Velcro band could be better but overall very pleased.
Rubbish
Can’t even register on this app so can’t comment on the app apart from saying it is a rip off. Better sticking to the Chinese trackers off eBay, least they work.

Only works with phone signal??
This is basically useless as it only works when there’s phone signal (as opposed to GPS). I can’t even get on the app without strong 4G which makes a GPS tracker when out in the countryside completely pointless
App keeps crashing!
This was a waste of my money! The device could be very useful if the app didn’t crash every time you tried to use it. I mean seriously what’s the point of purchasing a device that costs 71£ if it doesn’t do it’s job? Please solve this issue asap!
Working fine until...
Had Kippys since December and all fine until recently. Seems that there was a firmware update and although the devices are supposed to update automatically they won’t and now have suddenly stopped tracking. Support is a nightmare in the U.K. as you cannot contact Kippy direct. All issues have to be raised via Vodaphone who then contact Kippy. The whole process takes days just to get instructions that don’t work. In short works great until something goes wrong then good luck getting support to fix the problem.

A good start
Had this for a couple of months now, and it has proved very useful. Managed to track our dog down 2 or 3 times - we live near open fields, woodland and a golf course. Can’t usually get her signal if she’s in the woods, but otherwise it works well.
The direction and distance screen is very useful - only recently spotted it was there. This would probably be better as a bar at the top of the map, like ViewRanger does when following a walking route.
My main request would be to change the maps - there’s nowhere near enough detail in countryside, just blank areas.. why not use OpenStreetMap, which shows footpaths, tracks, woodland etc.

Service is frustrating!
The whole idea of a pet tracker is good, but when the customer service is appalling at answering they’re customers to help out with any Technical Issues with the product. They take ages to resolve the situation. Even if you are in a waiting list on your own! It takes them hours! You’d think for such an expensive tiny device, they would at least take some RESPONSIBILITY! Don’t waste your money, get a better pet tracker.

Kippy Evo with vodaphone
I have bought this device through vodaphone and it seems to work well when their is a cell signal . However I need the tracker to send clear GPS updates when their is no cell signal this way you can track your dog using the history map when you get an update cell signal (should you lose them) ... unfortunately this did not work on my trip to the Yorkshire National Park. My van tracker does a pretty good job of history tracking in a google map so not sure why this device can not !
