Update needed!
I love this app almost as much as life itself. I live abroad in Asia and it’s invaluable to finding alternative Ingredients for things I want to make, and they’re preferred to just “leaving it out”. Having said all that, I just noticed today, it’s not optimized AT ALL for dark mode. The text becomes almost invisible. A remedy to that would be greatly appreciated. It’s a pain to switch displays back and forth jus to use the app.

Your timing is impeccable. I'm currently working on updating all of our apps for dark mode. You'll see this one before the end of the year.
Measurement Conversion Does Not Work
The app allows you to enter the quantity and the type of conversion you would like to convert from and to. However, it doesn’t give the end value of the resulting conversion.
Disappointing considering that this is a purchased app and that’s what I primarily needed the app for.

Old kitchen buddy stopped working, this one not same
Pretty irritated my old Kitchen Buddy stopped working with a course all my recipes in it. Now I can’t get to them and this new one is not the same application and I had to freaking pay for it. Thanks for nothing I’d like a refund but I’m sure I’m not gonna get it. Now can you tell me how to get my recipes from the old app?

Hello, Apologies for the delayed response. I only learned today that I can reply to a review. Anyway, it seems clear you thought this was something else when you bought it. I can't fix that unfortunately. However, I can explain what this application does if you're interested. If not, I'm sure apple will give you a refund in this circumstance.
No idea how this works
I used to own an app called Kitchen Buddy on another tablet which was excellent for recording recipes, or importing them. This app isn’t it. No idea what it does, so have been conned out of 99p.
good idea - if it didn't crash
In theory this is the app I wanted and needed. Clear, easy to use and, importantly, with the capacity for taking volume measurements of different ingredients and converting them to weights. But it clearly still has some bugs - it won't load certain ingredients at all and just crashes. Most annoying at a moment of baking crisis...

Just what I was looking for...
Excellent tool - I brought my recipe books from the UK to the USA, and needed a way to convert weight to volume as everyone over here uses cups to measure. What really makes this app stand out is it's easy to use and allows you to choose the ingredient you are measuring, as there is no one straight conversion of weight to volume - 1 cup of butter does not weigh the same as one cup of sugar. The other apps I saw either only convert weight to weight, or don't give different ingredients when converting weight to volume.
It has a bunch of other features too - suggested substitutions for ingredients and information on pots and cake tin sizes.
I've only removed a star because there is such an extensive list of ingredients but no alphabet at the side to jump down the list to the ingredient you want to choose, so it can be a bit time consuming. Hopefully that will change with an update.
