About

What can you cook with the food already in your kitchen? Kitchen First matches recipes to the foods you add. See what you can cook now, choose foods you want to use soon, or find a meal that needs a few extra ingredients. Start with 302 included recipes. Save the ones you like and follow their cooking steps in the app, with timers where a step has one. Keep track of food in your fridge and pantry. Add foods by search, speak a list, or scan a grocery receipt, then check the suggested foods before adding them. Voice recognition and receipt reading happen on your phone. Voice entry needs on-device speech support. Plan breakfast, lunch and dinner on the calendar. Add missing ingredients to Shopping, tick off what is in your basket and put it away into your Kitchen. Choose UK or US food names and metric or US measurements in Settings. Kitchen First Plus is optional. It adds over 160 more dinners, Tonight with a short list of dinners for this evening, and Ask about the recipe you're cooking, which points you to the right step. Ask works on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. Plus is a yearly subscription that renews until you cancel, or a one-off lifetime purchase. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. No account needed. Your kitchen, saved recipes, meal plan and shopping list are stored on your phone. Kitchen First does not provide a household sync service. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy policy: https://kitchen-first.pages.dev/privacy

What's New in Kitchen First

1.1

November 5, 2026

Swap an ingredient: some recipes now offer a food you already have in place of one you don't, such as a green pepper in place of a red one. Paste a recipe: copy a recipe with a title, ingredients and method, paste it on the Recipes tab and keep it in Saved. More recipes: the library now has 468. The 302 recipes from 1.0 stay free. Kitchen First Plus, optional: over 160 more dinners, Tonight with a short list of dinners for this evening, and Ask about the recipe you're cooking, which points you to the right step. Ask works on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. Choose yearly or a one-off lifetime purchase. Fixes and smaller improvements throughout.
