About

kiteToday tells you when and where to ride. Hourly conditions and forecasts for kitesurfing spots worldwide, scored against safety and quality rules so you can plan your sessions with confidence. WHAT YOU GET - Hourly wind forecasts for spots around the world - Today and tomorrow ratings: GO, CAUTION, or NO GO - Confidence levels (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW) based on agreement between multiple weather models - Spot-specific rules — each spot has its own wind limits, gust thresholds, and forbidden wind directions - Tide information at spots where it is relevant - Kite size recommendations tuned to your rider weight - Interactive world map with live wind direction animation - Favorites and "Worth checking today" for spots nearby HOW SCORING WORKS Every hour, kiteToday evaluates each spot against its configured rules. Wind speed, direction, gusts, precipitation, visibility, wave height, daylight, and tide (where applicable) all contribute to the final status. GO means all configured limits are satisfied. CAUTION means the spot is rideable but suboptimal, often due to gusty conditions, lower-than-ideal wind strength, or cross-shore wind direction. NO GO means one or more safety limits are exceeded — most often offshore wind, excessive gusts, low visibility, or extreme wind speed. Detailed reason codes are shown for every spot so you can see exactly why a spot scored the way it did. MULTI-MODEL FORECASTS Forecasts are computed from up to six independent weather models. When models agree, confidence is HIGH. When they diverge, confidence is reduced. Uncertain conditions are flagged as uncertain. PRIVACY FIRST No account required. No advertising. No third-party tracking. Your favorites and preferences are stored locally on your device. WHO IT IS FOR kiteToday is calibrated for twintip kitesurfing. Riders using foilboards, surfboards, or other disciplines should treat the scores as indicative and apply their own judgement. Conditions can change quickly. kiteToday provides information, not advice. Always check local conditions, observe spot rules, and ride within your ability.
