How is hydropower sustainable?
I didn’t even get to use the app because I became suspicious when having to choose how I best wanted to offset my carbon footprint from a few different options including hydropower solutions. Dams used for generating hydropower have immense negative effects on the environment: they actually emit CO2 due to the stagnant water, they disrupt natural flows of water by drastically reducing river debit, impacting vegetation and wildlife downriver, as well as fish populations, and they destroy landscapes. This is without mentioning the actual CO2 emissions due to their actual construction. So how is this offsetting? Thanks, will find other ways.

It should include apartments. Not everyone has a house. Otherwise, it is very good.
Too easy to accidentally click out😑
Perhaps add a confirmation question. I was almost done and the app got laggy, I tapped once to click out of that step, nothing happened so I clicked a few more times. it responded to all those taps and basically started me over 😤

Great Idea, but why isn’t it free?
It’s great what they’re doing, and it makes sense that there’s a way to donate, but why isn’t there a free version? Users shouldn’t have to pay a subscription to learn how to reduce their carbon footprint.
Odd outcome for solar panels
Like the idea and contribute monthly. Oddly though we have just installed solar panels and this calculator says we have a lower carbon footprint if we don’t have solar panels than we do if 100% of electricity comes from them. Clearly I need to take them back off the roof.

Sometimes if forgets me. I keep being afraid I’ve lost my impact. Yet, I am charged! So I know I’m still offsetting.
So far so good but could use more detail
It works great but I’d like to see more data into where my carbon output is the most so I can better control my behavior.

Neat Little App
Prompted by a promo on YouTube, I downloaded this App on a whim. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well thought through it is, and although I feel it’s a bit of a cop-out to assuage my climate guilt, the projects you fund look superb. I also like that it is independently monitored.

I’ve been waiting for something like Klima to come along for a long time: a straightforward way to cut my carbon emissions and track my progress. The design is 💯 and the descriptions of the offsetting projects are informative and inspiring. I really feel like I am making a difference. Because I am.
