Alls good

Works good

Service. Great

Nice job

Clear instructions, outdated step 1 link

The link for downloading the zip is outdated btw. I had to do some googling to find the zip file

Did the job

I had to reset the speakers before the update worked. I was a little nervous but it worked out well.

Good sounds

I am too much love to Klipsch fives

Did the trick

Haven’t used a thumb drive in a while, but everything went smoothly. Easy to get the files needed, speakers responded to the update easily, and the app was easy to use and communicated each step clearly.

Just doesn’t work

I spent hours trying to get this to work and all it did was break Bluetooth connectivity to the speakers. I followed all instructions meticulously and tried several times. The directions on the website had broken image links. I’m an electrical engineer with a focus in audio and if this isn’t working for me I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be for somebody without that background.

Needs another round of updates

Need another round of update according to client service rep I just spoke to. Tried updating my Fives and now I’m stuck here waiting before I can use the app.

Be cautious

This system allows you to use an iPod nano 7th generation. Once you are forced to proceed with Step 2, it no longer allows Bluetooth on the iPod and forces you to stream music. What a let down to iPod music lovers.

Perfect update

Worked like a champ!

terrible app

the instructions is not clear, and all it does is updated once , then you use Connect app.. whats the point?
but funny thing is, connect app have connection problem, so i come back this app to check connection strength :p

Klipsch Fives Updater Worked

Followed the instructions and updated the Fives with zero issues. Took about 10 minutes. Flawless.

This app is for UPDATES ONLY

And it works brilliantly for what it’s intended for. Use this app to update your Klipsch “The Fives” one time, and then delete the app. It’s done. All further updates will be wireless and use a different app, and not need to be wired.

Whether the other app works or not, this one works great!

Why are new products sold with such old firmware?

I just bought The Fives and it required a ridiculous USB stick firmware update like it's 2007 and then a single-use app for a Firmware Update Part 2 just so I can finally use it with their normal Klipsch Connect app. none of this should be necessary. Put new firmware on the hardware in your factories, yo!

doesn’t work

doesn’t work with the new usb flash drives. Have to buy a new 2gb flash drive to format fat32 and after followed the instructions it still doesn’t work sigh….

Updater

Easy install

Flawless and smooth if you have the right USB drive

I read a lot about 3.0 USB drives not working for this update. Found a trusty old 8 GB USB 2.0 USB drive and followed the instructions. Was finished smoothly and quickly thanks!

Not intuitive

Still trying to figure out the app, stay tuned.

Very hard to use

I need to do updates, the software didn’t load onto the speaker. My phone says the speaker is paired but the Connect app says speaker can’t be found. Lots of time spent on my own and support. Zero outcome.
