great music and programming! this app less than great
the app plays the current sponsor update far too often, at least sometimes, and often breaks into the middle of songs to do so…

Excellent radio, app is trash.
This is the best jazz radio station I’ve ever listened to. I’m a daily listener but I live at the fringes of the stations reception range so I mostly listen through the app, which is constantly buffering and resetting so the station intro plays over and over again, constantly interrupting the music.

Great music and programming, awful music streaming
I’ve been a listener of KMHD for years now and I really love it. Easily one of the best stations anywhere. When my car stereo recently broke and could no longer play radio, I was happy to learn that AUX still worked and I could play some KMHD through this app. However, the online streaming is almost completely unlistenable. Through the website is no better, either. Even when I have 4 bars of service and everything, the app will play for like 10 seconds and then stop to buffer for another 5-10 seconds. Then it’ll randomly throw in extra ads during the middle of songs, both interrupting them and playing over them so you miss the next 20 seconds of the song. I’m not sure if it’s my service, the app, or the online streaming itself, but I just don’t even bother at all anymore. I never have any trouble streaming videos or anything, so I don’t think it’s on my end. I really wish I could just plug it in and forget about it, but I guess that’s too much to ask.

Copies from your clipboard
I love KMHD but this app copies from your clipboard every time you open it. There’s no reason for that.
Good for listening and that’s it
App is okay. It’s nice if you want to listen to the station, but everything else is glitchy. It does not update to tell you what songs have played and it doesn’t let you adjust the time or sounds or anything for an alarm.
Best Jazz But...
5 stars for the music. But, 2.5 stars for the app. The app often doesn’t connect or takes a long time. And if you have to listen to something elsewhere real quick it doesn’t reconnect (like other apps, ie Spotify or Podcasts). I also wish the app always showed the song and performer. I’m constantly having to look it up on the website, which often it isn’t there either.

Almost perfect..,
Listen to the app all the time (thank you T-Mobile and unlimited streaming). The one feature I would like to see is the addition of a sleep timer. When I use to listen to KMHD through PRX, it had a sleep timer. I also use the sleep timer all the time in my Amazon Music app.
I know someone is going to say just use the timer feature within the iOS Stopwatch app but, I don’t want to set for a specific event and forget to change it back to an audio notification.

Perfect iPhone Radio App
This is the perfect iPhone radio app. No frills to get in the way of a nice jazz session. I wish there was a sleep timer setting, but I just turn it off manually instead. Not that big of a deal. I love KMHD and use this app constantly!
First App For France
I am traveling abroad this coming Autumn, to France and bordering countries. This is the first thing I did to prepare. Got to hear my morning session or it ain't morning for me. It will be 8 am in Portland and I will be listening.

A nearly great app - unable to multitask with it
I just finished listening to the Saturday morning Brazilian jazz show!! My only complaint about the app was that I could not multitask on my phone while running the app...

The app plays music but the alarm function causes the app to crash on my Verizon iPhone 4. If the alarm worked I'd rate it 5. The app provider was responsive but couldn't replicate the problem. If they hadn't tried I would have rated it 3.

Alarm fails!
Alarm fails to work if you lock the screen. The rest of the app seems ok. KMHD!
Perfect
The BEST Jazz station in the world!!!! Now I don't have to be home in Portland to get my jazz fix. I've got it with me EVERYWHERE !!!!!
