Micro transaction on EVERYTHING

I’m honestly surprised they don’t charge a gem per step of your character. Gems to upgrade your level, gems to upgrade your equipment, you even have to pay gems to upgrade the building that you upgrade everything else and there’s like 7 buildings. It’s a joke to be honest. I spent a few bucks before I found out about everything costs gems. I’ve seen greed before but this takes it to a new level of scumminess. I won’t be purchasing anything from this developer or publisher anymore.

One thing

I had to restart the whole game because I could not get the technomancer quest after finishing the game. Also a little Grindy, but a REALLY good game I recommend

Ads, ads, ads

You can't even get past the ads from the temple. The close button doesn't do anything...

Greed kills all

I remember KoPaP 1 and 2. Absolutely loved those games and was truly excited to see a third was created. I should have known that in 2026 nothing escapes being monetized.

Want to know what made the first two games so magical? No ads. No watching ads to activate stuff. No cash shop. No gems. Just pure fun. When can we go back to when video games were just fun and you didn’t have to buy a battle pass? I’d rather have one time paid DLC. Heck I would have paid $10-$20 to have this game without all the paid stuff.

Revamp it and put it on Apple Arcade. Honestly would be worth playing without the monetization. Until then, I’m out and I won’t be back.

Bad game!

This game sucks! It has deteriorated from a great game in kpp1 to a sucky paywall game! I mean, what do you mean I have to use gems to upgrade my skills! And what do you mean I only get ten battles a day! I’d rather just stick to undertale!!!

Cashgrab

The game could be great but the microtransactions are so ingrained that it’s hard to concentrate on the game.

Animations and other upgrades since the previous titles are well made but the greed has sucked the life out of this series.

Nice gameplay, but it has a few bugs

So far, the gameplay is the same as previous games. Still fun. The problem I’ve had, every single time, is with the “watch an ad” option. The ad will play, but afterwards, it never goes away. I can’t exit it or anything and I end up having to close the app and reopen it. Once I do that, it acts like I never watched the ad.

Swipe your card here!

I was a big fan of kopap2. I was excited to see a third game came out, that excitement however faded quick.

New classes? Swipe your card here.
Leveling skills up? Another swipe
Leveling your town? That’s just one more swipe.
See a decent item in the shop? Swipe here!

While yes you have the option to play for free…

-Want to level up a skill? Spend hours grinding the same fight over and over due to the ridiculously low drop rate.. oh and books are only good for about 3ish levels. So by the time you get enough to level each skill you want those 3 levels you wasted the better part of a day or so. Or you can you know swipe that card for gems.

-Want to get better items in the shop? Swipe here for gems! Or you know grind hours to level and get a handful free…maybe, well some level ups. Even then good luck saving 180+ for that shop upgrade. Oh and the shop refreshes on a timer! And the selection is in my experience nearly always trash, or you guessed it… costs a ridiculous amount of gems (1000+ for blue gear)

The game is nearly unplayable without spending. Unless your the type to enjoy restarting random battles at the same spot 100s of times.

I cannot give less than one star or I would, I don’t mind paying for a premium class, but leveling is so unbalanced you have to pay to make it tolerable. My suggestions: make the town upgradable with gold, increase book drop rates and for the love of god bring back crafting! Oh and stop being greedy snobs.

Sellouts

This game used to be fun, but greed and laziness took over.

Ask money after 2 min

Nice but ask me diams (€) for level 2 after 1 fight ? Ok good bye …

Little review

I would of liked making a character from the start or have a more personalized option like weapon types

Basically pay to play

If you liked KOPAP 1-2 this is not the game for you. They cranked the monetization up to a 12/10. Everything costs $10+, you can barely progress without either grinding for hours every progression step OR paying to get ahead. I assume it’s different developers because there’s no love in this game, only a cash grab and a blatant slap in the face of the actual fans. You can tell they didn’t care about making an actual game because it’s not on PC. Probably because they couldn’t justify all the microtransactions on a paid game like how it would run on steam. Just get KOPAP 1 or 2

Fun game

Its a nice return to older paper and pen games. It is a bit of money sink if you want progress.

SO GOOD 😍

I never leave comments with my reviews but this game deserves it. The retro graphics are amazing, the battle style is nostalgic and fun, there is no auto battling which keeps it strategic, the humour and references are entertaining, and ads are optional! I’m only a few days in and it already has a ton of depth. Great job 👏

Same Fun, Bloated with In-App Monetization

Just as good as the previous 2. The inability to customize your characters appearance/gender presentation in favor of preset professions is both gain and loss. Classes feel just as good as they did before, but the paywall for the new classes feels too steep.

Overall great fun, but beware, almost everything has a monetization hook - be it watching ads for blessings, or needing to buy premium currency (diamonds) to upgrade class skills or buildings in your base.

I would give this higher than a 3 if this game wasn't so greedy. To get the late game experience you either need to grind ridiculously or pay more than a standard AAA game to get there in under 120 hours.

Still, very fun.

Everything is Ads

I understand people have to make money, and you are trying to make it unobtrusive but everything has a “watch ad” option, pop ups for everything… it really flies in the face of the original games that paved the way and made the series so good. We are in a race to the bottom.

Decent sequel

My old real complaint is that there is not indication of power or level for mobs. You fight in one area and wipe the mobs, move to another and get slaughtered, see that dungeon that opened for an event, can you do it? Who knows until you’re rezzing your whole party.

Noice!!

I played Knights of pen and paper 1 and really enjoyed it!! But 3 is soo much better! Great game to kill time on my commute home!

Waste of money

Warning: Do not purchase any of the commissions for any of the events. The current event is impossible to earn rewards from, the dungeon is obviously tuned to a much higher level and you will waste money because they don’t explain anything about these events.
