What you see is what you get
I gave 4 stars because this app feels like a passion project from a solo developer. Sure, there are things left to be desired, but the foundation is sturdy enough to have potential. In fact there is even something somewhat endearing about how janky this app can be. Minimalist UI and lack of stats makes you have to do research outside of the app instead of trusting a.i. projections like fantasy football. Even while drafting there was an enjoyable drama over people drafting players that were on LIV tour because the app doesn’t discern that info. You also can’t rely on real time news updates if your player withdraws from a tournament. It’s chaotic fun.
The only gripe I would personally have is that you can sometimes get screwed over on lineups potentially not updating (only happened to me once). Also an issue where I could not check the standings for that current week’s tournament. I would get an infinite loading screen that would only be resolved by deleting/redownloading the app.
Either way it’s solid for what it is.
Potential but needs to be fixed asap
1) Takes 3-4 taps to even see your current team. The default screen should be the current championship with your team and leaderboard
2) App hangs constantly. Happens predominantly when you go to see your leagues members and their field players
3) This is a trial and they expect you to eventually pay money to unlock features but unless the above are addressed and this is made WAY more intuitive for the end user there is not a world where moving off a trial is going to happen
Response from developer
Thanks for taking the time to leave detailed feedback and for trying Knockdown. Honest user feedback is genuinely hard to come by, so reviews like this really help us improve the app. You’re absolutely right that the experience needs to be faster and more intuitive, especially around quickly viewing your team/current tournament and improving the app hangs you mentioned. Both are areas we’re actively working on. Really appreciate you giving the app a shot and sharing constructive feedback. It helps us prioritize what matters most. If you have any additional thoughts or feedback, feel free to reach out anytime at info@knockdownfantasy.com

Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback. Knockdown Fantasy is free to play, with certain premium features, including access to the full top-25 player pool available through a league upgrade. That upgrade applies to the entire league for the full season, not per player or per user. When split across league members, it typically comes out to about $5 per person for the year. We appreciate you giving the app a try and understand that pricing won’t be a fit for everyone.
