Incredibly useful
It’s difficult to overstate how good this app is. I have spent hours watching YouTube videos about knots, and there are some good ones, but there are three problems with them: 1) I always forget how to tie the knot and then have to go looking for the video again. I make playlists, but they get so long that I can’t remember which is which. 2) Even when I find the right video, I have to scroll through to find the part I’m stuck on. 3) The person in the video is often not tying the knot in the same orientation as I am, so it requires some mental gymnastics.
This app solves all these problems. When you find a knot you want to use, you just add it to your Favourites and it’s there whenever you need it. You can scroll through the animations manually, so you can easily skip to the bit you are stuck on. Finally, the app allows you to change the orientation any way you want so that what you’re looking at exactly matches the situation you are in.
On top of that, there is a brilliant section that allows you easily to find the right knot for whatever you are trying to do by selecting categories. You can’t do this on YouTube if you don’t know the name of the knot. Well, not easily, anyway.
There is also really useful information about the strengths and weaknesses of each knot that help you decide which one is going to be best for your needs on any given task.
At the risk of sounding like a plant by the developers (which I am not), I honestly cannot think of any way in which this app could possibly be better. Probably the best value for money app I have ever seen. My thanks to the person or people who developed it.

Great value for the money. Offline use, no data collected, and all from a trusted source (been a yt subscriber for awhile). What more could you ask for?

Fantastic for visual learners!
Honestly this app is awesome. I really struggle to follow pictures in books and the short videos make it so easy to learn. You can scroll to any difficult sections and adjust the speed, brilliant!

Best Knot App of All Time & In All the Universe
This is easily worth ten times what I paid for it. Support is next level. DJ literally emailed me multiple times as we worked through my very minor issue (not just “customer service” but Canadian Customer Service!). I recommend this to everyone all the time. Impressive app, that animates very well, with great graphics to make mimicking knots easy to make. Well organized to make it easy to figure out what knots you need.
It’s a good app but…
It’s very helpful but it’s so fragile. It’s swipes left or right when I’m trying to go down or up sometimes. Multiple times it has frozen on me too. Had to force reset my phone multiple times
Best App Ever!
For a few years I have been saving videos on YouTube or Instagram, but it is inefficient. This is much more handy and way worth the $5. Thanks!!!

Great Refrence
I love the YouTube channel and having a nice companion app on the go is great.
However the UI seems super outdated and overloaded. Technically the app is also lacking. I had multiple freezes and crashes while exploring.
It even made my full phone freeze for a while.
Seems to happen when scrolling longer lists.

Like a pocket knife this app is a must have for everyone, from hiking to tying down a load at the store. Everyone sometimes needs to tie something. I like fact of how many new knots keep showing up every time i open this app.

Amazing but glitchy
This will be a five-star app when all the glitches are sorted out, but in its current state it's hardly usable! It frequently freezes up when scrolling through the knot lists, and the only thing to do in that case is shut down the app and relaunch it, losing your scrolling progress. I've also had it freeze during knot display in such a way that prevented me from even turning off my phone screen—in this case, double-tapping the power button to bring up my wallet gave me the escape I needed to shut down the app.
If this were most any other app I had paid money for and I was dealing with crashes like this, I would be giving a one-star review and furiously requesting a refund. It is a testament to how well this app presents its knots—and organizes them so you can find the right knot for the job—that I have still given it a three star review. Hands down the best knot-tying resource I've seen yet, which is why the crashes are so distressing!
After that gets sorted out, I have just one feature request: a button to mirror knots, just in case they're being tied left-handed or the line is going the opposite way around the anchor for whatever reason.

A wide breadth of knots and clear, in-depth information as to their uses and why. The favorites list is a life saver and I am grateful for its availability offline. This app has helped me more times than I expected

There’s one small detail that no one will probably talk about, this app works! whether you have an Apple iPhone or an Android phone and that is truly amazing!
Handy Knot Reference App
I always found myself in situations where I thought, “It sure would be handy to know a core set of knots.” Usually, this would be when I needed to secure a load in my pickup bed, and ratchet straps weren’t available.
This app has now made that possible. I’ve been practicing five or six knots that seem to be the most useful for me in my situations, but it’s great to have even more as backups.
