Loved it

Beware . Need 3 referrals before can enter

As other reviewers have stated, you need 3 friend referrals before you can get in.

Surprise, some of us don’t have that type of friend circle. I got maybe 2 out of 3, but not sure who could be my third. Yet we are arguably the people who need this app the most.

I wish they had told me that before the 20 minute AI screening call.

Known seems like a great tool so far

“Title” …however maybe the ai function is more designed for neurotypicals which is to say nothing inherently bad about the app itself I just don’t know why it was advertised to me.

Andy

I love the way they have integrated voice AI and the voice AI that they have used is pretty good questions are pretty straightforward and I hope this is gonna be fun. I would highly recommend. I would highly recommend this too many people to try it out because unlike the traditional with this AI world, what is going around if people are tired of too many questions and stuff like that and filling out forms and all that with this voice thing that makes it very easy two or three steps and you were talking to someone like a real person and hopefully it gets. I’m still going to wait for the result after I’m accepted on the waitlist and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Useless unless you advertise the app to three friends

Has you do a 20 min call. After that, you can only proceed by advertising the app to three friends. I am not doing that. What a waste of time.

Great app!

I absolutely love the concept about this app we need more apps like this that actually values real dating rather than mindless swiping on people. Apps like this highlights connection between people and that’s what love’s really about. I’m grateful they made this app!!

Rude chat bot

I haven’t gone on a date yet but as another reviewer said, the chat bot (not the voice call bot) is weirdly rude and critical. Dating apps so often already feel like a confidence killing and negative space, I don’t also need AI berating me for my answers to the questions it asked me. Just something for the developers to think about adjusting. Still intrigued and hopeful about going on a date though.

AI operated nothing burger

Takes too long to get in. I would gladly pay $15 to be matched with a date. But three weeks later and I can’t even get in.

Even the process of deleting the account was locked behind an unknown time.

AI was very rude

I patiently answered all of the AI’s questions, and it insulted me

The AI’s questions were not particularly thoughtful, and reached a far lower level of depth than my own internal reflections and “date me” doc

The AI then proceeded to insult me and say I don’t have capacity for investing in relationships

I did not expect an app to be every more of a waste of time than Tinder, but here we are

Also a lot of cultural insults, like suggesting that my dedication to friends/family means I don’t care about my partners. And that my love for dancing (rooted in my Gujarati heritage) means I’m not a good candidate for dating

Awful taste in my mouth. Digital dating is a money grab with incentive to keep people single and addicted, Known seems to be no different.

Very cool app

Really cool idea and app, hopefully it will change the dating game

Horrible

Worst app. Requiring people to invite 3 friends before they can get dates is ridiculous and on top of that, being subscribed to SMS when I did not consent to that is ridiculous, and they don’t include how to unsubscribe.
Deleted. Horrible. Never use this app.

I saw this on instagram

I hope it works I’m tired of the endless swiping

First date!

Went on a known date last week after being on hinge unsucessfully. I was so surprised by how much we had in common and it was truly one of the best first dates ive ever been on. Crossing my fingers date 2 goes well

Gets info then says unavailable.

Scammy at best. It asks for a bunch of personal info, pics, for you to invite friends, your location, and then bothers to tell you the app isn’t available in your location. 🙄

Waitlist??

I downloaded this app over a week ago bc I kept getting ads for it on insta. Signing up was simple enough, however I’ve been on the waitlist since so idk when my application will be officially accepted. If I don’t hear anything back within the week I’m going to delete it. Very frustrating. Was excited abt this app.

Why do I need 3 people to continue my application

To complete the app, you need 3 people to refer or whatever. I live in the Bay Area - I don’t have friends. What a dumb requirement

Horrible

Not worth the hype. Horrible experience. do not download.

back to swiping

Im all for changing the endless monotony of swiping but this doesn’t deliver. I’ve been having a bot ask me follow-up after follow up question on what I want out of dating and while I appreciate the thoroughness, I haven’t even finished the process of signing up after multiple weeks. This is in addition to the voice call answering all their questions. When I previously used it and was able to get matches, they were way off what I was looking for physically and so I’m left feeling once again, disappointed.

WOAH

Very impressive. I have to admit, it felt like a was in an episode of “black mirror” but I appreciate the thoroughness of the AI and the whole experience. Well done!

Ai Matching Gone Wrong

I used this app twice. The first date I was matched with someone who held moderate political views. Now listen, I described my ideal partner as someone who values human rights especially coming from a family of immigrants. Moderate felt like a clear mismatch. Also the photos of this match were somewhat fratty. I also described wanting a partner to build a serious connection with. Although, on the date it was apparent he had no intention of being in a serious relationship. There’s been two huge gaps in what I’ve described and what was presented but that’s Ai for you. Ai is not a real human listening and matching with care. It simply receives data and then by whatever system it utilizes, makes a “match”. Or mismatches in my case. This wasn’t better than any dating app and in some ways it’s worse. It does not display relationship type i.e. casual hookup or committed partnership. It’s definitely a modern approach that’s why I was intrigued but there are serious gaps to consider if you’re hoping for intentionality.

Lastly, I’ll just say since when did we require ai to book our dates? There is so much to be learned about how a person plans and where you choose to go (low effort - high effort) that will be a sneak preview of compatibility. Removing this aspect removes helpful information on a person and felt like the wrong move.
