Your voice, again. Koe is an accessibility communication aid for iPhone — a tap-driven app that helps people who find speaking difficult express themselves with their own voice. Recordings, inputs, and AI-generated phrase suggestions all stay on your iPhone. No network. No cloud. UI is in Japanese. Spoken output can be switched among Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. ■ Key features ▶ Sentence completion from a few hiragana letters Type a fragment and get five natural Japanese sentences instantly. ▶ Context-aware reply suggestions Transcribes the other speaker on-device and proposes situation-appropriate replies. ▶ 200+ template phrases across 5 scenes Hospital, Family, Phone, Emergency, Daily — reordered by AI for context. ▶ Personal Voice playback Integrates with iOS Personal Voice so the app speaks in your own voice. Voice data stays on device. ▶ Full accessibility support VoiceOver, Switch Control, Eye Tracking (iPadOS), Dynamic Type. Large tap targets. ■ Privacy by design The app holds no network entitlement. Speech recognition uses Apple's on-device SFSpeechRecognizer. Phrase generation runs on Apple Foundation Model or MLX Gemma 4 locally. Personal Voice never leaves the device.
