In Settings → Look, switch to a Meiji-era Kyoto woodblock card deck and genuine public-domain prints by Hokusai and Hiroshige, or keep the animated deck and illustrated ukiyo-e-style stages.
Free to start, one-time unlocks only: no subscriptions, no timers, no energy.
THREE TRADITIONAL GAMES, NOT JUST KOI-KOI
• Koi-Koi (こいこい): the classic two-player duel. Match months, build yaku, then bank your points (Shōbu) or call "Koi-Koi!" and press your luck.
• Hana-awase (花合わせ): three-player parlor hanafuda where every card has a point value and yaku settle against both opponents at once.
• Hachi-Hachi (八八): the traditional three-player game, with field multipliers (平場 / 大場 ×2 / 絶場 ×4), opening-hand Teyaku and Dekiyaku finishes.
AUTHENTIC PRINTS (Settings → Look)
• A 1902 Kyoto woodblock hanafuda deck (明治木版), from the collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
• Museum Print stages: original public-domain Hokusai and Hiroshige prints as the table behind your cards.
• Switch back to the animated deck and illustrated dioramas whenever you like.
A STRONGER OPPONENT
• Four CPU levels from Easy to Expert. Expert looks ahead over the cards it can't see instead of guessing.
• Seven named rivals across the Hokusai Battles journey, each with their own stage.
DAILY CHALLENGE
• Everyone gets the same three seeded deals each day against a rotating rival.
• Post your score in one tap to the daily leaderboard and share your round-by-round result card.
LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE
• Bushido Bob's tutorial runs once on your first match, and you can skip it.
• Optional month-matching colour borders, yaku progress hints and a full yaku reference.
• Plays fully offline, and the download is about 80% smaller than before.
