It’s a very good animated background app it does work just the name needs to be changed because people think it’s an actual Koi Pond app and are being scammed.(I also was looking for a Koi Pond app and found this and noticed it was a animated background app but it was ad free so I used it Plus I paid for it)

As others have mentioned, I read the description and purchased what I thought was the old koi pond app. The product description is a bold lie.

I thought the low reviews must be due to a more sophisticated, modern audience that wouldn't appreciate the simple, classic koi pond app.
This is a rip-off, complete with stolen icon and boot/splash screen from the original.
This is a collection of fish video that I guess you could set as wallpaper, but what it really is, is a bold attempt to get your $0.99. Don't fall for it like I did.😠

Don’t buy this! It’s not the Koi Pond app that used to come with your iPhone. Just still shots. What a bust!!!

It’s nothing like the old Koi Pond by Blimp Pilots. Such a shame & now I’ve lost my money. This is a sham because they made it look like the classic & it’s not like that AT ALL.

Fraud
Suddenly the old Koi Pond came up with an error message requiring me to update. I did so. The new version is pure, unadulterated junk. Only 99 cents, but the principal is the same. Unbelievable that Apple would sanction this useless, dis-functional fraud of an app. Do NOT buy it. Caveat emptor.

I feel this should be removed from the App Store for deceptive selling techniques. The screen shot presented of the app is not what you get.
