About

Kom is an alarm for your pocket. Hold the Action Button, and the people you have chosen get your location and a message — without you taking the phone out. When the first one taps "I'm coming", you feel it as a vibration. That is the whole idea: not just calling for help, but knowing someone is on the way. HOW IT WORKS You hold the Action Button down. A calm three-second countdown runs on the lock screen — if it was a mistake, tap Cancel. The alarm goes out with your position, how accurate it is, and when it was last updated. Recipients answer "I'm coming", "Can't" or "I'm here" straight from the notification, without unlocking. You get the reply as a vibration and one line: "Mette is coming · 4 min". No Action Button on your iPhone? Send the alarm from the app instead. FOR THE WAY HOME Create a group, show a QR code, done. No account, no email, no login. In "My group" only you raise the alarm and members do not see each other. In a "Shared group" everyone alarms everyone — friends looking out for each other. Recipients see you on a map with an address and can call with one tap. Every button has a three-second undo, so a mistaken press does no harm. AT WORK Kom covers the middle ground: "I need a colleague now", without escalating the situation. You clock in and pick your department, and the alarm goes to the people at work now, plus the on-call person. The home screen shows two things: who the alarm goes to, and whether the button is set up. Your status — in the department, out with a resident — changes who receives it. If nobody answers within the time your organisation has set, the alarm moves to the next level. A directory shows who is on shift, with Call and Message. In the control room the alarms sit on a map: who is on the way, dispatch one more, message everyone on the alarm, close it. No extra app is needed. The whole sequence is logged: who pressed, who answered when, who came. CRITICAL ALERTS Apple has approved Kom for Critical Alerts. The alarm itself can cut through the silent switch, Do Not Disturb and Sleep — on the phones of recipients who have opted in. Replies, shift reminders and drill alarms are ordinary notifications and never loud. WALK ME HOME Set a timer for the trip home. Five minutes before it runs out, the phone asks from the lock screen: extend by 15 minutes, or I'm ok. If you do not answer, Kom sends the alarm by itself, with your last known position, to the same people. With "Walk me home" they can follow the route as you go. FORWARDING TO PEOPLE WITHOUT THE APP A recipient can pass the alarm on to a colleague, a group, or a phone number without the app. The text message is sent from her own phone: Messages opens with the text and the link ready, and she presses Send. The other person opens the link in a browser, sees the map and answers "I'm coming" — no app, no sign-up. PRIVACY Your location is only sent while an alarm or a check-in is running, for at most one hour, and only to those who received the alarm. No everyday tracking. No account, no email; link an Apple ID only if you want to. The archive and playback are only for the sender and those who took the alarm. The server is in the EU, data is deleted after a set period, and there is a log of who saw what. You can delete your account in the app. KOM PLUS Everything between the press and "Mette is coming" is free: sending, receiving, replying. Free: one group with up to four others and a seven-day archive. Plus: more and larger groups, circles, forwarding to numbers without the app, Walk me home and check-in timers, a two-year archive, 30-day playback and calculated arrival times. Recipients never pay to help. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Kom does not call the emergency services and does not promise fall detection. Requires iOS 26. The Action Button is on iPhone 15 Pro and later. Organisations do not buy through the App Store. Write to hej@jegerlars.dk.
