About

Komora is a recipe manager for the food you actually cook - the recipes from your family, your notebook, the ones you have made so often you stopped measuring. I built it because mine were scattered across a notebook, a camera roll, and my own memory. Cooking • One step at a time, in type you can read from across the counter • Any step that mentions a time offers a timer - tap it and it runs • Amounts inside each step scale with your portions, not just the ingredient list Keeping • Collections, so the weeknight food isn't jumbled in with the Christmas food • Search that looks inside recipes, so "the one with the anchovies" turns it up • A cover photo on each, because you know a dish by sight before you read its name Portions • Change the servings and every amount follows, in the list and inside the steps • No arithmetic with flour on your hands Private by default No account, no cloud, no subscription. Your recipes stay on your device, so they work on a plane or in a basement kitchen with no signal - and I can't read them, even if I wanted to.

What's New in Komora

1.1

Paste a whole recipe. Copy a method or an ingredient list from anywhere and paste it in. Komora splits it for you: numbered sections become titled steps, and ingredient lists lose their bullets. You see the split before anything is added, and one tap undoes it. Also new: • Steps can have a title and several lines, and lists show the way you wrote them. • Swipe a step or ingredient to delete it, with Undo if you change your mind. • Keep adding ingredients and steps without tapping Add each time. • Search now finds words inside your steps. • The Steps header shows how many steps have no time. • Anonymous usage statistics help improve Komora. They never include your recipes, and you can turn them off in About. • Fixes: the Cook button on the cookbook's top card works, the keyboard closes when you tap away, and Ukrainian layouts no longer clip on smaller iPhones.
