About

Konect 2 is a ground-up rebuild of the Konect field data collection platform. Same proven workflows. Modern architecture. Designed to work reliably in the real world. ** Konect 2 ** Works anywhere — data is stored and managed on your device first, then synced when you're back in coverage. No more losing work in the field. Data Tabs — complex records are organised into focused, navigable tabs (e.g. Asset, History, Photos, Work Orders, Inspections) instead of long scrolling forms. Multi-basemap support — switch between satellite imagery, street maps and other layers on the fly from within a project. * Core capabilities Konect 2 carries forward the full feature set of Konect: Custom form building with auto-populating fields, role-based variants and photo annotation Points, lines and polygons with vertical topology and snap-to-feature editing Auto GPS drawing for accurate position tracking in the field Data import, collection and export — no coding required Queries and filters for working with large datasets Full audit trail with activity playback Device-level search across forms and records * Who it's for Konect is used by field crews, inspectors, contractors and asset managers across telecommunications, roads and infrastructure, utilities, local government, agriculture and environment, disaster recovery, and maintenance management. If your work involves collecting location-based data in the field, this is the tool. Konect 2 runs alongside Konect v1 Both apps will be available in the store during the transition period. Your existing projects and data are not affected.

What's New in Konect 2

2.0.0

August 28, 2026

What's new Open to all users — the beta access list has been removed. Any user with a valid Konect login can now sign in to Konect 2 Split Screen — a new view that shows your data list and the map side by side. Selecting a feature in either pane highlights it in the other, the divider can be dragged to resize the panes (with a grip and minimum/maximum widths), and the view opens on your data list rather than an empty prompt. Adding and drawing features now stays in the split view instead of jumping you over to the Map tab. (NB: only available on tablets) [K2B-102, K2B-271–K2B-278, K2B-283] Choose your split highlight colour — selected features are outlined in yellow by default (matching QGIS), with a setting to pick a different colour or keep the previous "Surrounded" style. [K2B-102] Related items in one list — a new setting stacks every related dataset into a single list, and the action buttons now ask which dataset you want them to apply to. [K2B-42] Larger buttons — a Large buttons switch scales up the map controls and the app's other floating buttons, for easier use with gloves or in the field. [K2B-280] High visibility mode now has its own switch under Appearance, separate from other display settings. [K2B-285] Resumable basemap downloads — interrupted map downloads pick up where they left off instead of starting over, so backgrounding the app, losing signal or a crash no longer costs you a large partial download. Cancelled and failed downloads also clean up after themselves rather than leaving hundreds of megabytes on the device. System basemaps can now be downloaded on the web app, and very large system basemaps are no longer size-limited. Faster maps on slow connections — when you pan or zoom away, the app now cancels the map data it no longer needs instead of waiting for it, so the area you're actually looking at loads first. [K2B-256] Stay signed in when offline — with Guarantee Offline mode on, the app no longer signs you out when your session would otherwise have expired. [K2B-266] Mark on map now places your mark immediately, even while the map is still loading. [K2B-270] Map search — the country selector is collapsed down to take less space. [K2B-268] Refreshed reshape and map selection — a redesigned "Choose a feature" card, a scrollable column of map buttons, and the form and reshape buttons now hold their position (greyed out when they don't apply) instead of moving around. [K2B-253, K2B-269]
