Konpira

Konpira is a two-player rhythm game inspired by the Japanese folk game Konpira Fune Fune. Place your hand on the table in time with the beat. Grab the cup when it's there, keep your fist when it's not — but open your hand at the wrong moment and you lose instantly. How to play: • The cup sits on the table between turns • Fist: grab the cup (if it's there) or hold it (if you already have it) • Open hand: put the cup back — but never reach for an empty table • Hold the cup too many turns in a row and you lose • Act on your opponent's beat and you lose • Miss the timer and you lose The longer you survive, the faster the beat gets.
