About
What's New in KORA
2.0.0
August 29, 2026
A completely rebuilt interface — and everything that was waiting in the previous update. THE NEW KORA • A new bottom bar: the tree, your settings, and "add person" lifted out between them • Every person now opens as a full page — photos, relatives, notes and archive search, instead of a cramped dialog • A dedicated Account screen for your identity, your plan and signing out • One consistent visual language across every screen, in light and dark CLOUD MODE (KORA Pro) • Sign in with Apple or Google and sync your trees across your devices • Share a tree with relatives, as a viewer or an editor • Voice input: say the names, relationships and years out loud, check what KORA understood, then add it to the tree FINDING PEOPLE • Auto-search in global databases: look a relative up in Wikidata/Wikipedia and add the parents, spouses and children found in the record straight into your tree • Archive and record search: open Yandex Archives, FamilySearch, Find A Grave, Geni/MyHeritage and more with the person's details already filled in — two people free, unlimited with Pro • Smart suggestions while you type: patronymics and surnames predicted from the parent, offered in both grammatical forms MAKING SENSE OF THE TREE • A relationship label on every card — grandmother, uncle, niece, cousin, son-in-law — worked out from the tree itself • Notes with a Markdown editor DATA • GEDCOM import and export: move a tree in from, or out to, any other genealogy app
