Very cool and different!
I never write app reviews, but I need to do it for this. I LOVE this app! There are so many people making new language learning apps that are basically the same, the market is super saturated right now. But Chalkak is different and unlike any Korean learning app I’ve used! It’s simple - you take a pic, the app recognizes the item, and it gives you the Korean word and a simple sample sentence using the word. Now you might think there’s no need for this as you could just type the English word into a Kor-Eng dictionary and get the same result. However, this app makes it fun! It’s like you’re collecting stickers of items in your real world, and they go into a virtual “binder”, which you can then review as Anki-type flashcards. It personalizes your learning, and it’s fun! I connected with the app creator on Reddit, and they are super nice and responsive. Highly recommend this app for all Korean language learners!
