AUv3 - The 800 lb gorilla…

For this app, and the others that do not have AUv3 support. It’s time to acknowledge and address your customers. When are you going to implement AUv3 for the rest of your apps? It’s time

Still my fav synth- hoping for an AUv3 update!

This review would be 5 stars if a few modern features get added- AUv3 and iCloud saving support!

Great detailed controls let you fine tune the synth and model lots of cool sounds from fat bass to expressive leads. You get 2 synth instances and 6 drum tracks that are simplified versions of the same synth. With the sequencer this is enough to make entire songs. The limited amount of tracks actually is great for keeping you focused. I use KORG Gadget 3 too which is much more versatile, but I ended up finishing way more songs with iPolysix thanks to its relative simplicity.

This app is OLD- and sadly KORG has kind of forgotten about it. It desperately needs an update to support AUv3 so it can be used as a synth in other DAWs. It has been gadget-ized, but the Gadget version has lost some small features, like the arpeggiator latch, and doesn’t sound quite the same.

Another critical thing It needs is the ability to save to iCloud or other file locations. Nice to have features would be the ability to export MIDI from the sequencer, and synth setting presets to Gadget - trying to recreate songs and sounds from iPolysix within Gadget 3 should be easy but without these features it really isn’t!

I LOVE this app, and I hope KORG finds the bandwidth to update this awesome synth for the modern era of iOS music production! I’ll be sure to update this to 5 stars when they do. Thanks KORG!

AUv3

I am giving this 4 stars due to no audio unit support. Please update this and others so they can used in Cubasis or Logic Pro for iPad.

More to it than meets the eye

Initially I thought this was just a copy of the original polysix - which was good. But dig in to the sequencer, drum machine and Kaoss Pads and this becomes much more interesting. Worth taking time to explore

Still waiting, KORG

We were promised an update to make the gadgetized version (Pompei) AUv3. So we upgraded. And we’re still waiting.
