Littered with adds. Pop up notifications that arnt linked to any story. Not worth your time.
Does anyone actually work at CBS 7 ?
no realtime news even though they did pass on a NWS tornado sighting. Apparently noone is actually working outside of a scripted studio setting.
Worst
This app is never kept up to date. As more and more people depend on news apps to keep them notified, this is unacceptable. Do better.

The kid game Commercial ads are not appropriate for the work place.

Inappropriate spam ads. Do we really need to see ads scattered throughout the news articles of women in disgusting poses or ads that do not pertain to anything concerning our area?? Shame on you!! This is supposed to be a news website. If you need to advertise, please advertise local businesses or realistic wares that readers might need or use.

My review
I have been using the app for a couple of years. This is a news app, so I assume it should not be political. Right now there is a pro-Trump link over several parts of each page. I will stop using the app, going to Ch 3, until you remove partisan ads.
Not updated often enough
I wanted to love this app. I moved from the area and use it to keep up with what’s happening in the Permian Basin... at a very slow pace. However, it’s really frustrating to click on a story just to get a “404 / page not found” error code. The person or persons who types up stories for the app often has misspelled words and very poor grammar (unless that’s how the anchors are speaking these days). Sometimes, it will be three days before there is any new content added. Is there really nothing new in the news for three full days? Or does CBS7 only have one person updating the app that doesn’t work weekends or holidays?

ADS/SPAM DISGUISED AS NEWS IS ANNOYING
As a cord cutter, I rarely watch live TV anymore and rely on apps like these for my local news. What bothers me is the placement of all of the ads on each page that are made to look like news articles. What is worse is that most are straight-up dishonest, spam or inappropriate. For example, one ad said “New Affordable Housing in Midland is Turning Heads”. You click on it and not only does it have nothing to do with Midland, it had even less to do with affordable housing. It was a spam link page that took you to other spam link pages. Most ads have scantly clad women or other non-family friendly content. I think the ad provider is “Outbrain”. Consider real local ads that matter to us and not just spammy crap that makes y’all look like you fell for a Nigerian Phone scam from a shady developer that just threw your RSS feed in a spam bot template. PLEASE, use your own app and PLEASE be honest and recognize that the crap ads and spam on each page do not represent your news station in a positive light. I would be embarrassed.

*Freezes all the time*
You would think that this app would be convenient for someone who doesn’t have social media but it’s NOT. runs very slow & freezes in the middle of an article. Constantly having to refresh!!!
