About
Koshio turns your run into a game of territory.
Start a run, go around a block, a park or a whole neighbourhood, and come back to where you started. The moment you close the loop, everything inside it turns your colour on the map. Run over someone else's territory and you take it from them. Then they can come and take it back.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Start a run. The map follows your route live.
2. Close the loop. Return to your starting point and the area inside becomes yours.
3. Defend it. Your territory stays on the map until another runner claims it.
RUN WITH A CLUB
Start a club or join one. Clubs have their own announcement board, their own events and their own member rankings. Organise a run, see who says they are coming, and check them in on the day with the attendance table.
KNOW WHERE YOU STAND
You have a rank in every city you run in, and a rank in your country. Territory helps, but every run counts towards your score even when you claim nothing.
IN THE APP
- Live map showing who owns what, and how big it is
- Clubs, events and an attendance table
- City and country leaderboards
- Friends, so you can filter the map to just the people you know
- Notifications when your territory is taken, when someone mentions you, and before an event starts
- Run history with route, distance, time and calories, and charts of your progress
- Cheat protection: every run is checked on the server against speed, distance and movement data, so nobody claims a neighbourhood from a car
- Turkish, English and German
BACKGROUND LOCATION
Koshio needs your location while a run is recording, including when your screen is off or you switch to another app, because the loop has to be tracked without gaps. Continued use of GPS in the background can shorten battery life. Location is only recorded while a run is active, and you can stop it at any time.
Koshio is for running outdoors. Watch the traffic, watch your footing, and never enter somewhere unsafe just to claim it.

What's New in Koshio
1.0.2
September 22, 2026
What's New in 1.0.2 • Club invites: share a link to invite friends to your club. It opens Koshio right at the club, or sends new users to the store. • Cleaner sign-in with the official Google and Apple buttons. • A close button on the run screen so you can leave with one tap. • More accurate distance: we fixed GPS drift that could add phantom meters while you stand still. • Show or hide your password with the new eye icon when you sign up or log in. Thanks for playing Koshio, and happy running!
