Firmware update
I now get a notification to update firmware, but no where is the firmware available. Your website is as good as the update, not helpful.

If I could not put star or give a minus rating I would good until it stops allowing to connect via wifi. Have done factory reset, have deleted and reinstalled the app and still no good. I don’t usually write reviews but this is annoying.
Not pleased at all
I’ve had to use the footage twice now and it’s not there, randomly stops recording and disconnects itself from wifi and the help section is not helpful at all. Video quality is good that’s the only reason it got a star at all
Emailed for support was no help, camera doesn’t work at all now, powers up but that’s it

Can’t watch recorded videos.
Had for about a year and now I can’t watch any videos look at any pictures saved. Almost had an accident and can’t watch it back. Don’t bother with this product.
Inconsistent operation but good video
WiFi disconnects at random, individual settings revert to factory at random e.g speed alerts were off but then will be turned on without being requested. Speed camera warning is useless as it warns of nearby cameras where there are none and where there never have been any. Recordings lose GPS and date info time stamps from time to time (happened three times in one month so far)- requires resetting the unit to restore that feature. G sensor to detect crashes (and protect recordings) is triggered crossing a lane bump or bridge expansion joints. I’m sure it also triggers just for fun too sometimes. After setting G sensor to off it will be turned back on without being requested. Tried G sensor at High, Medium, Low - made no difference so set it to Off. That worked for a while till it turned itself back in.

Hiccups when downloaded to app
Updated firmware
Bought a new microsd Samsung endurance card
The app is not good, downloaded the videos directly onto the app and when playing it there was hiccups and footage kept stopping and starting.
However, when I removed the microsd card and open the videos on my computer it was good.

Laggy
How come when i watch the video its laggy?
KPT-892 dash cam
Won’t record on iPhone, even though dash cam says it’s recording and cam live video is running on phone, in app. Also can’t update firmware.
They fixed it!
Firmware upgrade fixes the inability to save settings. Mac users... just drag the updated file onto the SD card and reinsert as instructed. It works!
Update
Last week I updated the firmware and it remembers my setting.
You have to pull out the memory card and plug it into your laptop. Go to the kapture site and download the new firmware and copy it to your memory card. Then put the card back into to dashcam. Power it up and it will tell u it’s updating. It will tell u when it’s finished too. Don’t turn off the device while this is happening. Hope this helps guys.

Agree with other users. Love the picture quality and great price but hate the sound alerts that you have to turn off every time you start the car. App developers must make a change so that your settings remain instead of being reset every time you turn the car on. Upgraded from KPT-850 but regretting that at this stage until settings can be turned off and stay off !!

Everything appears working fine but......
Sometimes unable to get past around 30% when i try and download the video from DVR to Local, the app freezes and then the download window disappears. Brand new scandisk 128G Micro SD and iphone 7 + IOS version 12.0
Can watch the videos fine in DVR mode however. The app also has a park mode toggle, however if you try to flick it on it says “Set Failure”
Also it doesn’t record 3 minute videos even when selected, it just diverts back to the default of 1 minute recordings.
Please can the Developers read this and release an update that fixes these bugs, it’s a great camera, the app just seems to have a few quirks.

Update required
Unable to permanently disable the speed alerts. Every time I change settings it defaults back to the original settings after each trip please fix in an update otherwise camera works well
