Kronos 3 Editor turns your iPad or iPhone into a hands-on sound editor, effects editor, set-list editor and librarian for the Korg Kronos. Connect over USB or network MIDI and every knob, envelope and switch is live: edits reach the unit instantly as realtime SysEx parameter changes, and panel moves on the Kronos echo straight back into the app. No file round-trips, no guesswork. FLOW AND CLASSIC VIEWS Flow lays each program out as a signal path: pick a stage (COMMON, OSC, PITCH, FILTER, AMP, MOD, FX) and that stage's key controls and live graphs are in front of you. Classic shows every parameter in pages and tabs, mirroring the unit's own screens. ALL 9 SOUND ENGINES HD-1 plus the eight EXi engines: AL-1, SGX-2, CX-3, STR-1, MOD-7, MS-20EX, PolysixEX and EP-1. Tens of thousands of parameters, decoded and editable. EFFECTS EDITOR The whole effect chain on one screen: all 16 slots (12 insert, two master, two total, plus Common). Tweak any effect live, change an effect's type on the fly, and audition a chain by ear, all following the Kronos in real time. SET-LIST EDITOR Build and rearrange a whole show: assign any program, combination or song to a slot, reorder by dragging, and set every slot's name, colour, comment, volume, hold time and transpose. The 9-band EQ and a live tempo move the unit as you drag. One guarded Write stores the set list to the instrument, verified byte for byte. LIBRARIAN AND BROWSER Pull the sound you are hearing from the unit with one tap. Browse every program and combination bank with category filters, favourites and search. Selecting a sound in the app switches the hardware; dialling one in on the hardware follows in the app. WRITE WITH CONFIDENCE Live edits go to the unit's edit buffer, which is volatile and reversible. Storing to a bank or set-list slot is a separate, explicit step with a read-back and diff first, so you see exactly what will change before anything is committed to the instrument's memory. SAVE AND SHARE Save programs and set lists as standard .syx files into the Files app, load them back later, or move them to your computer. REQUIREMENTS A Korg Kronos 3 music workstation, connected via USB-MIDI (through a USB-C or Lightning MIDI interface) or a CoreMIDI network session. Enable MIDI System Exclusive on the unit (GLOBAL > MIDI > MIDI Filter > Enable Exclusive). The app runs without the instrument, but editing needs the hardware.
