they robbed me, i hate this app

i used this app for a long time till they made it cost money. i figured id keep using it so i bought a lifetime subscription for $20. they must have updated the app or something because the picture for it is different and they took away my $20 subscription that was supposed to be forever. i’m severely disappointed and i wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone considering you can’t even use it for free anymore. i would like my money back or my subscription. do better and stop scamming people.

Hey there, please press restore purchases and your purchase should be restored. We also have a discord you can join for support if that doesn’t work. I’m always here to help. I wouldn’t make you pay again, that’s why I built the supporter wall

DR

I used to use the app quite a lot but not anymore because nearly everything is paywalled

Was great till the subscription

When I first heard about this app through a YouTube video I got curious and installed it. Overall first impression it was a great guide for both casual or hardcore zombie players, especially for people like me who often forget major Easter egg steps or side stuff; until they suddenly introduced a subscription. Unless you’re strictly playing bo7 (which is the only one that you can view for free) you’re outta luck unless you pay bc every older game from WAW to Bo6 is locked behind the paywall, and personally idk if it’s a coincidence or not but I feel the subscription was added as a response to bo1 and bo2 getting ports next month and the devs are aware new people will flock to apps like this to have handy guides for the older maps and if so I’m sorry i can’t help but uninstall and go back to just using YouTube or forms. To me this app should’ve just stayed free to use and just simply taken donations which the community probably would’ve supported I understand small devs need support but isn’t the way to do.

Greed

App was literally the best until they added a paywall

Response from developer

Im glad you loved the app, but why didn’t you buy lifetime when it was $1? Im just trying to make a living here.

Was amazing but now a paywall?

This app was amazing but now you have to have a subscription for the maps you wanna see the steps for? Crazy…

Not even accurate

This was nice when it was free but you want me to pay MONTHLY for info that is 75% correct? I’ll just go watch a YouTube video

You have to pay to see EE steps now.

The app was great, until they added a paywall to see older games EE steps and guides.

Response from developer

Hey there, update 5 added a free unlock token! Hope that makes it better for you

Great app

I’ve been using this app since B03 and yes ik the EE guide steps used to be free but hey times have changed and this man has dedicated his free time to make EE easier for us all. So what the subscription ranges from 1.99$ to 17.99$. Give this man his flowers.

Was good until they got greedy…

This used to be a useful app, but now you have to pay a subscription to look at basically anything. This is extra scummy seeming that all of these guides are literally copy-pasted from Reddit, and most of them aren’t even fully up to date, with broke image link. Even if this was a one-off payment deal, it’d be slimy, but a subscription model for this slop is gross. Better off using google.

Paywall-Greedy

Used this app off and on for years. Now main functions are locked behind a paywall. Uninstalled. I’ll just use Google lol.

Expensive tho

I was ab to buy the permanent subscription but found out it basically cost the price of the actual COD game just for some guides. I used this app when it was free and it was a life saver but I’d rather just watch stuff on yt than pay $20 for a guide

Response from developer

Hey there, you’re paying for my continued support of adding guides on day 1. I’ve managed this app for 8 years

Great app — used for years

Developer is very quick with updates. Information all the at finger tips of any Call of duty and any tiny easter egg within them. The subscription is great value for what you get, not having to watch videos or bounce around the internet.

App fell off hard

This app was amazing when it first came out, now it’s just garbage trying to squeeze as much money as they can from you, YOU CANT EVEN ACCESS OLDER MAPS UNLESS YOU PAY FOR THEM, just use google, it way better than the waste this app has become

Response from developer

I added a free unlock token for any game of your choosing

Just disappointed

Long time zombies fan here, I have been using this app for around 5 years and was always very pleased with it. At first it was just a simple app no ads. A few years in they added ads, sure I understand. But now you have to pay a subscription to see the info that used to be free! The goal of this app used to be to help out the zombies community but it seems the devs now prioritise making money which to be honest is just disappointing. No point in downloading the app unless you are ready to pay.

Response from developer

I’m sure that’s frustrating but also from my perspective you should understand I have spend thousands of dollars on improving and maintaining this app out of my own pocket, and in general stop everything on a DLC launch to update it. Ads don’t pay much. Within the first 6 years of this app, it made $3800. That’s roughly $650 a year for the first 6 years averaged out. Factor in server and hosting costs and the fees I have to pay, you can see there’s almost nothing left using the ads model. The purpose of the app is still to help zombies community, but it has to be sustainable for me to keep doing it for years on end. If you’ve been using the app for 5 years and haven’t paid to support the app, that’s kind of unfortunate because clearly you appreciate it, and so that’s kinda the whole reason I had to lock it for free users. There’s a lot of other people who “love the app and have used it for 5+ years” but haven’t paid me anything. That’s not right. I hope you understand. Thank you

GOAT

Just about everything you need as a zombies player

Kronos

Use to be an amazing app back in the day and everything was free now it’s back to YouTube

Ruined all reason to use the app

Before the recent update this app used to be useful to quickly pull up guides on maps even if the ads were a little annoying. But after the update you can’t even do that, since all the maps before BO7 are locked behind a subscription! You know, I’d maybe fork over like $3 or so to unlock all the maps with no ads, but I’m sure as hell not paying some subscription or 17 BUCKS to unlock some text guides combined with some videos you took from YouTube.

Gave into greed

You used to be phenomenal, when you were a start up and were giving the people what they want. Now you are pay for a subscription to view maps on old games. Incredibly disappointed and deleting after this , you lost a life long fan.

Response from developer

"Giving the people what they want". I can't give it to you for free forever man. I've spent thousands on this app.

great until recently

honestly was the greatest guide for the longest time, got me and my friend all the way thru bo2, bo3, infinite warfare and partially thru bo4 but we woke up one day and saw that the guides were hidden behind a paywall which was such a shame because i’ve had the app since around the time it first came out, but everyone has a price. guess it’s back to youtube guides

Price

Was good until it requires payment for some maps when 99% of the stuff is freely and easily available online don’t even have a ad option only payment

Response from developer

I get that the change is frustrating. I've been maintaining this for 8 years now, and it takes a ton of work- especially dropping everything for new DLCs. Financially it just hasn't been worth it anymore doing it for free + very low ad revenue. I can't keep doing it that way long-term. Thanks for understanding.
