About

There is a precise moment, when you are learning Thai, when everything tips over: the one where a sign stops being a pretty drawing and becomes a word you read. KruJai exists to get you there, and to get you there fast. Because Thai is not hard for the reasons people think. It is hard because it is written without spaces between the words. You can know three hundred of them and still stand frozen in front of a sign, simply because you cannot tell where each one begins. Almost nobody tackles that. KruJai starts there. YOU ARE GOING TO READ The 44 consonants and the 28 vowels, one at a time: the stroke order animating under your finger, the word used to name the letter, and its tone class. That class is not a grammarian's whim — it decides the tone, and therefore the meaning. KruJai explains it to you every single time, instead of asking you to swallow it whole. Then you trace the letters yourself, stroke after stroke, in the right order. That is when it sticks. TONES STOP BEING A LOTTERY Five tones, and a rule that works them out: consonant class, tone mark, syllable type. Every word shows the rule being applied — "ม low class, live syllable, no mark, therefore mid tone". After thirty words you guess it before you read it. After a hundred you stop reading it at all. A timed game comes to check: three lives, ten seconds, no mercy. REAL TEXTS, THE WAY THEY LOOK IN THAILAND A station sign. A restaurant menu. A message. Eight short texts, displayed the way they are over there — run together, without a single space. You touch a word, it detaches, and you see where it begins, how it reads, what it means. This is the exercise missing everywhere else, and it is the one that makes the difference. A PATH, NOT A CATALOGUE Seventy-one short lessons, from the foundations to B1: writing and reading first, then introducing yourself, ordering, asking your way, telling a story. Vocabulary, sentences to complete, dialogues, fifteen grammar points explained plainly at last. Everything is spoken, and can be replayed or slowed down. AND YOU DO NOT FORGET Cards that come back just before you would have forgotten them. A notebook that keeps your mistakes and hands them back to you. A dictation that makes you write what you hear. A built-in dictionary that searches everything in the app, offline, with no signal at all. A REASON TO COME BACK TOMORROW A streak of days. Goals you choose yourself, not ones imposed on you. A character who changes outfit at every level. Cards to collect. And streak freezes, earned through regularity, that cover a missed day — because a streak broken on a Tuesday evening has never helped anyone learn. WHAT THERE IS NOT No ads. No trackers, no analytics, nothing going off to a third party. The account is optional: without it, everything stays on your phone. With it, your progress follows you from one device to the next without ever being overwritten — what you learned on one side is added to what you learned on the other. French and English. Dark mode. iPhone and iPad. ครูใจ, krou jai: the teacher of the heart.
