Annouing UCCU Ad
Recently, whenever a news story is pulled up the on the app the audio of a loud UCCU advertisement starts playing, and when scrolling down to find the annoying ad and clicking to pause the audio it then opens a new page to UCCU. I have to close the app to get it to shut up. I can't even use the app anymore because the ad automatically plays on nearly every news story.

Loud ads have destroyed the app
Loud video ads that auto play on every story have ruined the app. KSL has been my default local news for years, I’m deleting the app today.

Auto play ads
I have used this app tens of thousands of times. Now I can’t open it without an auto ad playing with audio. If this doesn’t get fixed I’ll delete the app and go to the fox Utah app asap. Period.

Worst experience I’ve had in an app. The ads are insanely annoying and obnoxious
Get rid of auto playing video ads that can’t be paused
I’ve enjoyed the app for several years, but the new video ads that auto play are driving me nuts. They auto play with sound, and they cannot be paused or stopped. If you try to pause or mute them, they instead open your browser and take you to their sales webpage. I immediately close the app now whenever one of these ads starts playing. This is becoming a deal breaker for me and this app, and I will likely delete the app soon unless this improves.

Obnoxious ads!
I’m not complaining that there are ads on the platform, I understand that pays the bills, but the recent update to have an audio ad randomly start playing as I’m scrolling through the app is incredibly intrusive and obnoxious. There’s nothing I can close out and nothing I can mute, it’s just audio playing without any warning. Quite the surprise when I’m in a setting where audio blasting from my phone is not appropriate! Goodbye KSL app. I’ll get my local news from another source now where I don’t have to worry unwanted audio.

Don’t do it!
Sadly I love KSL. This app makes me think they have business to participate in an actual app. When listening to KSL Radio the ads cut into one another as well as cut off your radio announcers. Then with the viewing the live TV you sit and watch ad after ad to then have a screen that says we’ll be right back. You can wait there for 5-10 minutes and nothing. Close the app to relaunch and all you do is repeat the exact same cycle. Not worth anyone’s time.

What Guidelines?
Although this news outlet reports on plenty of local subjects, I’ve come to the conclusion the moderators over the comments page are somewhat biased. Railing on Republicans is guaranteed to get your comment posted, yet expressing opinions (within “comments guidelines”) regarding Democrats gets you zip if not quietly banned.

Unable to get tech support
Used to love this app, not today! I cannot comment, like a comment, or even send a help desk ticket to anyone.
Comments system is badly broken
Logging out and logging back in doesn’t help, but every time I submit a comment, the app just says there has been an error. Obviously plenty of other people are able to post comments, so apparently their software is just highly flaky and inconsistent. New stories are good though.
