Used to be great

Broken on OS26

Great Dictionary

I've been using it for 5 years, and find it much handier, with a better inventory of phrases, idioms, and general information. The newest update gives it a nicer interface, easier to read. It's in the cloud, so my inputs are shared on all devices.

An excellent Chinese dictionary

Not only good definitions and clear presentation, but also useful features like stroke order.

Let’s go

It is awesome

Great, just want zhuyin + autoplay stroke order

Very good app.

Used to be a good app, now just ad filled garbage

As above

Does what it says it does.

Excellent for Cantonese & Mandarin

Love that it has option for reading Cantonese as well. Best Chinese English dictionary app for Mandarin and Cantonese speakers!

Solid app

Hot keys for trainer don't work. Show solution hot key always brings me to search tab

=====

I like the history of searches and color coding.

I would request to be able to increase the font size of the history as it can be a bit too small.

The font size reader doesn't affect the search

Also to be able to change the pink color highlight as it can contrast with the color coding and be difficult to read

Super helpful - how to work stroke order?

Super helpful app, for my Chinese learning - but how do I see the stroke order? When I click on the character of the word, there’s no order, it’s all the same shade of black. How does it work?

Clear quick consistent and complete

It has no frills which is excellent. It is clear, consistent and contains a large number of definitions.
One can look up a definition by English, pinyin, simplified or traditional characters.
The only thing I can find that it lacks is Look up by stroke count.
It doesn’t appear to be have any glitches which is great. Chinese is hard enough without adding the worry of things sporadically going wrong.

The best , better than any other famous dictionary

Hot keys for trainer could be more convenient

Solid app. Hot keys for trainer could be more convenient. Option + Shift + keys isn’t as convenient as just entering Space bar, R, W for the trainer mode. Please change the hot key configuration

Fantastic app but

Wish it had a feature to save words and be able to study them. The stroke by stroke could show automatically like a gif

Excellent Chinese-English Dictionary

I’ve been using this dictionary for years. As a native English speaker studying Chinese, I find it straightforward, easy-to-use, and reliable. I know it has other features as well (e.g. saving flash cards for memorization practice, which I used for awhile and found helpful), but most of the time I stick with its basic dictionary function. I will use other dictionaries for example sentences, Chinese-language definitions, or more in-depth character history, but this one is still a very good first-stop resource for a quick, accurate English translation of a word or character.

App and support outstanding…

I have been using the app for years. I love the flashcards, daily sets, and the ability to search and study without the internet. Just a great app.

As we all know sometimes when you update your Apple device things go a little screwy, well this happened twice to me and reset several apps including KTDict. No advanced features 0-:

I contacted the developers and both time I received immediate responses and resolutions without having to purchase the upgrades again (and again).

If you are planning on learning Chinese get the app and buy the upgrade….. and then use it, it really helps

The best app for learning Cantonese

This app helped me prepare a short speech at a wedding lunch for my wife’s family. It also helps me to learn how to translate and pronounce words I encounter while walking around Hong Kong. It’s like having a native speaker with me at all times!

I hope they soon include the option to give Jyutping pronunciation (and/or Yale Romanization) for Cantonese learners. So far, the Hong Kong voice setting has allowed me to learn the pronunciation of different characters, but having Jyutping would be a great addition
