Not sure why this needs AI

I’ve seen a lot of maths games for kids, with all sorts of incentives and mechanisms like cartoon characters, reward games, etc. It’s a real art to find the perfect mix which engages a kids attention.

This game isn’t it.

I think we’re going to see a lot of games written by people with no experience in the field thinking that AI will be the answer without really understanding the problem in the first place. This is one of those.

4yo is loving it

I’m a screen time cautious parent and this is a great alternative to cartoons. My 4yo is pretty switched on with numbers and he cracked the first bunch of exercises with ease and it boosted his confidence. We are now building it into our routine to play maths every morning.

Cute characters really help

The kids just enjoy playing with them ☺️

Response from developer

Thank you—we’re so glad kukumber is working well for your family! Our goal is to help kids develop a love for math through structured, engaging daily practice that feels fun and approachable. kukumber focuses on the “little and often” approach—10–15 minutes a day of playful math learning, designed to build strong foundations in addition, counting, and problem-solving. It’s not about rushing—just gentle, consistent growth. We’re excited to add more interactive math activities, timed challenges, and even micro-games to deepen the experience. Stay tuned—we’re proud to be part of your child’s learning journey! Best, Olena, Founder of kukumber.kids

Addition for 4–5-year-olds explained well

It feels like an interactive book, where your child has to respond to an equation, but the app guides them to understand the principles behind it. Super helpful for early learners. It’s not just about getting the answer, it’s about learning why.
