Love this app!!!
I started doing Kumihimo with beads about 6 months ago. I’ve been wishing there was a an easier way I could design my own pieces. I bought this app last night, and I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time! It is SO easy to use. I m excited about all the possibilities!
Really nice basic app
This app works very well but would be really nice to see an update accommodate for larger string lengths like 24 and 32!!! Please update?!?
Not versatile
I had expectations for this app but was disappointed at the lack of versatility. Not worth the money - as apps go it is expensive! No acknowledgement that the technique of Kumihimo varies e.g. I learned bottom left to top but no facility to accommodate this variation. The pattern of the beads is affected by the order and technique. No idea of the strings being chosen so difficult to be consistent. No repeat pattern option. The manual is basic! Not even any FAQs..

Not Happy
Does any one know how I can retrieve my projects that disappeared from my app. I opened the app and sixteen of my saved designs were no longer there.
This is horrible!
If you are searching for a bead calculator this is NOT the one. I was shocked I had to manually touch every possible bead to highlight the color, then I still have no idea what the bead pattern ends up looking like. This is horrible and I was surprised this was not a function of the software. Please try the Excel Spreadsheet offered but Pacific Patina - it really worked like this one should have. I want my money back! Is there no guarantee?

I appreciate the work that went into this app. I was surprised that I had to color in every bead. Even though it rotates I found this difficult. Perhaps a flattened version of the braid would help? As another reviewer mentioned, I, too, would find the reverse of this building technique more useable. What would it look like to have an AAAbAAAb etc pattern on cord #1? I would love to be able to do that for all cords and then see the design. I do hope one in this style is in the works!

Hi Judy, You do not need to color every bead, there is a 'fill' option. Also the 'reverse' option will be an update soon to come! Please contact me (jnhete@live.nl) so I can help you how to use the 'fill' option!
Bugs, bugs, bugs
It’s temperamental. If you’re in it too long, it starts acting up. For example, you have your design ready and you select to create a PDF and it throws you out of the app. Or you return to the create screen after viewing the pattern and the screen is blank. But, not only can you not see this design but if you close that and look at another design, you can’t see that one either.
Only solution I’ve found is to put it to sleep for awhile and go back to it later. Those aren’t the only bugs I’ve found. I’m using this on an iPad Pro so possibly the developer didn’t test it on this device.
Too expensive an app to have to put up with this kind of performance.

Ok app
I love Kumihimo and was excited when I saw info about this app but I was a little disappointed with what it offered for the price. I would like to be able to do the bead set up and see what it would look like. I almost regret buying it, I hope there is an update soon.

The purpose of the app is to design first and then see what the bead layout is. What you want is to do it in reverse. This is not what the app is about. We can think about making a second app for this purpose!

Love the app
Very easy to create a beaded pattern. Love the fact that I can spin the braid around to see all sides. The only downside is that the pattern really needs a print option. Is that feature coming any time soon?

If you do any beaded Kumihimo at all, get this app!! Very easy to use to design your own patterns. Well worth the price. I've used it to create several patterns, and they all worked the first time!! Here is my helpful hint: braid the nub, then string the beads. Works so much better, at least for me!! The developers update regularly, so buy it now before the price increases. I had purchased a program for my computer at several times the cost, and I never could get that to work properly. The ability to roll the braid while developing the pattern is amazingly helpful. Kumihimo Bead Designer is a definite winner!!

This app is great! Much easier to use than the other program I purchased. I love the fact that it has a line showing the middle of the project. It would be great if it showed the inches/length of your project.

Easy to use
I really like this app. It is easy to use and fun to play with. I make new patterns and try them out,so far I have made 4 different bracelets, I can't believe I did it. Love it, would recommend it to any kumihimo enthusiast.

Great designing program
This app is great. Very easy to use. The new updates that show where the center of the braid is, is awesome-very helpful. I Love this app. Extremely useful for braiders. Will pattern both 8 and 12 cord braids. I highly recommend this app.
