Gratitude and Constructive Feedback
I waited for a Kurdish scream reader for 12 years, and I can’t believe that it is finally here! This app is truly life-changing for me as a blind user as I now am able to read Kurdish texts effortlessly, and without having to read paragraphs letter by letter. However, since this app is in the early phases of development, it isn’t far from issues here and there, so I thought it might be a good idea to pinpoint a few of them here, in hopes of giving some constructive feedback to the app’s esteemed developers.
•in the previous update, it read punctuation marks in Arabic, in the latest update as of May 7, 2026, the Kurdish voice pauses for the English voice to read punctuation marks, such as; ? . … which can be distracting for the listener.
•The reader often pauses between spaces, but not commas and periods, which means it pauses when it shouldn’t, and does not when it should. This sometimes rushes the reading experience.
•After reading a Kurdish text, the system often pauses and does not switch back to English to read the rest of the content.
•The Kurdish voice skips some Kurdish letters when they come in the very beginning of a piece of text, namely ک, گ, ڕ.
•It is also silent on the punctuation marks on the keyboard, so I had to switch back to the English voice to put those commas between the Kurdish letters.
