About

Find the nearest cash machine in the Kurdistan Region — and find out whether it actually has money. Since salaries moved to bank cards, the hard part is no longer knowing where the ATMs are. It is knowing which one is worth driving to. Kurdistan ATM shows you both. WHAT IT DOES • Over 500 cash machines across Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Kirkuk, Soran, Zakho, Ranya and Halabja • See them on a map, or as a list sorted by how far away they are • Filter by bank and by city — for example, NBI machines in Sulaymaniyah • Cash status reported by the people who were just there • Directions to the machine, drawn inside the app • Machine locations are stored in the app, so you can browse them without internet CASH STATUS YOU CAN TRUST Anyone can say an ATM has money. This app only accepts a report if your phone is within 100 metres of that machine — so every report comes from someone who was actually standing in front of it. Reports fade over time. One fresh report outweighs several old ones, and nothing older than 12 hours is shown at all. When nobody has reported recently, the app says so instead of guessing. BANKS Cihan Bank, National Bank of Iraq (NBI), RT Bank, Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), Bank of Baghdad, Iraqi Islamic Bank, Kurdistan International Islamic Bank, BBAC, Byblos, Al-Rasheed, Al-Rafidain and others. About half the machines in the map do not yet have a bank recorded against them. They are still shown, marked with a question mark, because an unlabelled machine still gives out cash. THREE LANGUAGES Kurdish (Sorani), Arabic and English, with full right-to-left layout. FREE, WITH NO ADVERTS AND NO ACCOUNT No sign-up. No email address. No phone number. No adverts. No tracking. Nothing is sold to anyone. Your location is used on your phone to show nearby machines and to check you are next to one before you report. It is sent out only when you start a route, so the map service can draw the road for you. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Machine locations come from OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL, together with banks' own published branch lists. If a machine is missing or wrong, get in touch and it will be corrected. Kurdistan ATM is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any bank. It handles no money and has no access to any account.
