It has become unusable because of constant pop-up ads. I tried to see one article and could never get there for the ads that kept popping up. Gave up and deleted the app

Why has this app stopped working? Everytime I launch it, it freezes
Create an Account?
It’s a terrible idea to force people to create an account just to watch live television. It’s already bad enough that there are so many commercials. But why force a person to create a login ID and password?

This is the worst app. The print is almost impossible to read. All the lines run together. Almost as bad as the Austin Statesman.

PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP! Great reception on other stations! Very distraught about this issue! I have tried calling many times! It is even messing up our Favorite News programs and TV entertainment ! We HAVE Watched KXAN Even when JIM SPENSOR had hair so that has been several years! We LOVE KXAN AND WANT OUR CHANNEL BACK! It feels like we are GAVING to choose either ABC or CBS after almost 50 years!

Ad Pop-Up Blacks Out Whole Screen
Ever since the developers added the pop-up ad that starts while the app is still loading I’ve had constant problems with this app to the point where it’s become useless & I’m uninstalling. It is just not worth the aggravation of not being able to dismiss the stupid add so I can just read the news. Now the app starts to load, the ad pops up & the whole screen goes black & stays that way. Sick & tired of advertising pop-ups. I’ll just watch KVUE from now on.

Good reporting, illegible app
For people whose phones are set to have a larger font size for accessibility, the KXAN app font size is unreadable. Approximately one word fits per line, and the lines crash together. And because the app is not responsive, one cannot turn the phone sideways to be able to read the articles. even with the in-app font size set to small, the text is enormous.

Add for restarting a video, really?
Went to watch a clip. Missed something. Can’t back up the video, have to reopen the article. And have to rewatch the same ad for a casino I have no interest in visiting so I can back up 5s out of the 15s I wanted to actually see if the clip. So 30s of ad for 20s of actual footage. Great job guys.

I've been a long-time user of the KXAN News app by LIN News for staying informed about local news. However, my recent experience has led me to the decision to delete the app entirely. Upon installing VPN software, the app abruptly ceased to function, revealing its invasive tracking policies that prioritize surveillance over user privacy.
It's disappointing that an app I once relied on for news has chosen to compromise user privacy in such a blatant manner. As a result, I have no choice but to remove the app from my device. This disturbing trend of sacrificing privacy for the sake of tracking is unacceptable, and it's disheartening to see it perpetuated by reputable brands.
To other users concerned about their privacy, I cannot recommend continuing to use the KXAN News app. Instead, I urge developers to prioritize user privacy and security in their practices. Until then, I'll be exploring alternative news sources that respect my privacy rights.

iPad app forces you to watch video
I am sooo frustrated with your app. Now I can’t read any article, the ad/video covers my entire screen. Useless. I prefer to read the articles!

Love kxan, but reporting a bug
I cannot swipe to dismiss the ad that pops up when launching the app on my ipad. The whole app is unusable with this issue. I'm forward to the fix!
Can’t read articles with videos
The latest update doesn’t allow you to see the written article if there is a video to the news story on iPad. On iPhone, the fonts are now huge making it impossible to read any articles.

I have deleted app and downloaded 2x and cannot get out of the do you want motivations screen. Very frustrating

The full screen pop up ads are horrible. It makes the app useless. I found the KVUE app to be much better for local news.
Also, their news articles are heavily tilted to one side. If you want good, even news coverage, then look elsewhere

So many ads and SLOW loading
There are so many ads in the app. It slows page loading and scrolling to a completely unacceptable level while the ads try to load.
