Great app
This app is a great app to learn AND LISTEN to native Thai speakers. The words they teach may seem silly at first but it builds on lessons. I especially appreciate the grammar lesson of gives so that you can understand sentence structure. The fact that the translation quizzes are native Thai speakers really helped me pronounce and understand the language. Seriously the best app to learn Thai. I’ve downloaded every single Thai learning app and this one wins by a mile!

Like it very much, but...
I really like this app and have completed the lessons maybe a dozen times, picking up something new each time. There are, however, lots of mistranslations. Also the vocabulary sometimes differs from what Thai people actually use.

This is a wonderful app. I have had it for years, and can say it has measurably helped me with my Thai language. The absence of English and emphasis on emersion are an important aspect. I can't tell you how much help the support team has been - especially Melanie at Smart Language Apps - in recovering the app that was accidentally deleted.

Thai future is not truely represented here for $20
Not a real value for money. At $20, This app is not specialized for learning Thai to be use in Thailand. Money unit are all in euro. Only repeatedly use words for man and women and male female child. Not representing enough of Thai culture. Made by someone in europe without deep understanding of Thai culture.

One major benefit and many flaws
The great thing about this app is how it helps you learn words by giving enjoyable exercises enabling you to practice using several different approaches and repetition. This is very effective.
The bad things:
1. Many words are formal and not those used in everyday speech.
2. Many words are not explained at all.
3. The grammar explanations are far from enough for you to understand the logic in many sentences.
4. Many words are not among the, say, 4000 words you would need the most.
5. Many sentences are way too long and complicated for beginners.
6. Several more flaws
If you can already speak basic thai, this app can be a great help. For beginners this app is better avoided as it will make your learning journey unnecessary hard, you will learn mechanically without understanding, and you will have to de- and re-learn quite a lot later on.

I like it
The app enables you to adjust the speaking speed for easier or more difficult sessions. I like that it helps with recognizing written Thai as well. Could improve by adding voice response and typing to the lessons.
Very nice supplement for learning Thai!
I like this app so far. I have been trying to teach myself Thai, and this app helps a lot with grammar and vocabulary. The option to switch between transliteration and Thai script is very nice. I would say this alone is not enough to teach you Thai, but it's great for practice!

The lessons are logically built upon each other, and guide the student from the basics through more complex grammar and sentences.

Great app but
I have not finished but the app is great. So far, i have only 2 complaints. 1 it does not teach the alphabet. I have another app i am trying to learn it from but i do not understand how the vowels work. 2 the translations are not verbatim. Example; it says the man is drinking but reads, the man is drinking water.
