One of the most horrible apps in the App Store!
Not user friendly!
It NEVER works!
The screen is too small & hard to adjust!
I ALWAYS wind up having to telephone the courtroom and by that time I am upset, angry & frazzled!

Frustrating App for iPad users
Sadly comes up short of what it could be.
Seems fine to connect, as long as that is all you want to do. Actually being in a hearing is another issue.
I only installed this iOS version because the Mac version bricked my MacBook so that I couldn’t connect to anything or use the internet. Luckily, I stumbled across it being related to bad programming, but not sure if it’s the same company. (If you are having this issue, search the web for removal instructions for their bad audio driver: UDC_Virtual2ch.driver and how to remover that.)
The iPad app is just the iPhone app, so you don’t get to benefit from the addition screen space, it is just a “zoomed” version of the app.
Rotation it into landscape mode doesn’t help much, because it just squishes the window down, so you actually see less - (for example, it cuts off the cases at the main screen, so you can’t select your case to login.)
It doesn’t prevent screen sleep/lock, so unless you turn that off yourself, or periodically tap the screen during the hearing, you will get sent to the Lock Screen.
Can’t recommend this app.

If it ain’t broke….
LA Court was using MS Teams. It worked great. You could present video and documents without issue. Creating separate rooms was not a problem. Simply put, IT WORKED.
This App does not let you present video or documents. Half of the time it won’t even let people log on via the App and you have to call in over the phone to appear. That option does not work if you’re conducting a trial.
There are also times when even the back up # doesn’t work. Finally, the Mac desktop version is not functional and the iPad version of it is just the phone version squashed into an iPad.
Overall, a very bad App. As an attorney who is stuck having to use it, I sincerely hope the developers do something to fix this. They honestly should be embarrassed to release something this bad.

Why mess with a good thing?
There were no problems with how we have been doing things for three years. Then taxpayers and the court wasted the little money we had supporting LASC, and introduced this garbage app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP ON YOUR IPHONE. It screws with the functionality of your regular audio/visual.
Can’t wait edit my profile to remove my middle name on my phone. Try testing the audio-won’t play back the recording on either the phone or PC.
Reminds me of that garbage roll out of the DFEH RTS fiasco. Dumb dumb dumb.

DON’T DOWNLOAD
The LA Court Connect software rendered my Mac completely unusable. Even uninstalling the software didn’t fix the problem, so I had to completely erase my computer and start over. When I called their help line to report it, I found out that LASC is fully aware of the problem, yet they did absolutely nothing to warn us. I’m finding online that numerous Mac users had the same experience I had.
Their iPhone app also disables features on your phone (I lost the ability to record video after installing), but at least deleting the app fixed the problems with my phone. The impact on my Mac has been far more catastrophic.
Shame on you, LASC. You should have immediately warned Mac users not to download the software as soon as you learned of the problem.
