About

The barcode scans. But does the label data match? In manufacturing, packaging, and label review, a readable code is only one piece of the picture. You may also need to check the printed text and the values in a work order or other reference record. LabelAuditLab is a label-review tool that helps you compare three sources: decoded barcode data, printed-text OCR candidates, and reference values you provide. It highlights possible discrepancies, uncertain readings, and missing evidence so you can decide what to check next. WHEN TO USE IT • A lot number or expiration date looks different in the code and printed text. • You need to compare scanned values with a separate reference record. • You want to revisit what you checked and which evidence was available. COMPARE THREE SOURCES • Capture a label with the camera, or select a photo or image file. • Review data found in QR codes and DataMatrix symbols. • Inspect OCR candidates from printed text. • Compare supported fields such as GTIN, lot, expiration date, and serial number. • Enter your own reference values or import them from a JSON file. • Review potential matches, discrepancies, and evidence gaps. KEEP A REVIEW RECORD • Save review results and the original image on your device. • Add work numbers and notes, then search your history. • Export individual records as JSON or PDF, and history as CSV or HTML. • PDFs display the source image; JSON exports do not embed the image itself. Image analysis runs on your device. Photos and Files may retrieve cloud-held items through iCloud, depending on your device settings. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS LabelAuditLab assists human review. It is not an official GS1 service, a certification system, or a barcode print-quality verifier. Reference values are supplied by you; the app does not authenticate them. A possible match does not establish product authenticity, registration status, print quality, regulatory compliance, or official approval. OCR and barcode recognition can be incomplete or inaccurate. Final decisions require human review of the original label and a trusted reference record.
