About
Physical notebooks have long been an essential tool for recording research data. However, they have limitations in organizing and connecting information in a practical and efficient way. To address these challenges, LabNote was developed to help researchers organize ideas, plan experiments, and record information in a structured and accessible manner.
With LabNote, researchers can plan different stages of their projects using mind maps. Each node can store important details, such as stage objectives, methodologies, obtained results, and even conclusions. This structure facilitates the visualization of research progress and the integration of information across different stages of a project.
The application also allows users to assign tasks to each project stage and quickly identify nodes with pending activities. This feature helps researchers better track project progress and maintain organization throughout their work.
In addition, LabNote enables users to add references and attachments, including images and documents, bringing all relevant materials together in a single location.
Another important feature is meeting management. Users can create written notes, record audio, organize meeting agendas in advance, and generate tasks based on discussion points and decisions made during meetings.
The application also includes a sample management system that allows researchers to catalog and identify samples, add images, and associate them with mind maps as needed. For researchers in chemistry and related fields, LabNote further provides calculators for solution preparation, dilution calculations, and theoretical pH estimation, supporting day-to-day laboratory activities.
Finally, users can export mind map data to Microsoft Word documents, facilitating the preparation of reports, record keeping, and information sharing. Alternatively, projects can be shared in the app's native format, enabling other users to view and comment on the content.
LabNote is an application developed by researchers for researchers, designed to support different stages of a scientific career, from undergraduate research students to postdoctoral researchers.
