About
Every recipe your family loves, in one book: the stained cards in the box, the pages saved from websites, the ones in a video caption, and the ones that only live in someone's head.
Scan the cards
Point the camera at a recipe card, handwritten or printed. Ladle reads it on your phone, puts it in a clean, consistent layout, and keeps a picture of the original card with it.
Save from anywhere
Share a recipe page from Safari, or a post from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest, and Ladle pulls out the ingredients and the steps. Coming from Paprika, Mela or Crouton? Bring your whole collection over in one go.
What can I make tonight?
Tell Ladle what's in the kitchen. It shows what you can make right now, what's one or two things short, and what to swap: buttermilk is milk and lemon juice, a scallion is a green onion.
Cook without touching the phone
One step at a time in large type. Say "next", "back", "how much flour" or "set a timer for ten minutes", or turn on read-aloud. Timers count down on the lock screen.
Plan, shop, share
A shopping list that only adds what you don't have, sorted by aisle. A two-week meal plan. Share a kitchen with family so everyone sees the same pantry, list and plan. Share a recipe as text, a card, a PDF, or a file that opens in Ladle on someone else's phone.
Yours, privately
No account and no ads. Your recipes stay on your phone and in your own iCloud, so your iPhone and iPad have the same book. Nothing goes to us.
