Might be the worst algorithm yet
This app is terrible. I don’t think I was shown one profile within my stated search radius. Giant waste of time. Tried to reach out to support and the send button didn’t work. Complete trash. The AI matchmaking is very generic and doesn’t account for taste.

Has potential
Hoping more people join. I haven’t really had any conversation a yet, but I like the concept and the pacing of it. I think people should be more strongly encouraged to write their own bios though.
Poor Location Specificity of Matches
While the app has great features for potential emotional chemistry and compatibility for activities, these facts are SELF REPORTED which is something to keep in mind.
Most potential matches I have been fed live in another state so have little to no viability. At this juncture I am basically a beta tester... so I'll keep trying to train the algorithm for what I want with respect to location and compatibility features.
With respect to the message window, only 2 lines of text are visible making. This make proofing and correct a message frustrating and time consuming. I suggest drafting your message in notes or email and pasting into the app to lessen proofing frustrations.

Need to fix some stuff
I don’t know if is a glitch with the location but it show me the same profile with 2 different locations unless it was a fake profile
Horrible Natches
Says it uses AI to find the best matches. None of the matches have fit any criteria, are too far away, and have been low compatibility.
Update: Developer will try to say they did match me based on criteria. I’ve been specific, and I strongly disagree. The app claims it’s trying to match based on what we say we like. It simply has not. Just because the app thinks it’s a good option, does not mean I have to agree. Most suggestions are either too far or not compatible. It asks why when we decline an option, and I have repeatedly said why: not my type, distance, nothing in common. App does not readjust. It is trash.

Beware of scammers
Right off the bat two of the profiles I matched with were scammers. Anyone asking to chat on Whatsapp is a big red flag. Reverse image search the people you match with. You’ll figure out quickly who is fake. Be cautious.
Interesting idea for a dating app
This is an AI-powered matchmaking app that is definitely worth trying out. The profiles are more interesting to read than the typical user-generated content that you see on other dating apps. Excited to see this app grow!
Is it a scam or just not competitive with other dating apps? Maybe both.
I didn’t find the app useful but it has an interesting approach.
Literally all catfish
The first four people I talked with were catfish chatbots. I deleted the app after that.
Great app
Worked better than some of the other dating apps as it gives a broader picture of the personality and gives you an idea of how you would get along with a potential match. Also, spits out topics to talk about with the match, helps conversations from just fizzling out..
A real shame
Unfortunately, despite the ads you may have seen this dating app is no better than any other. Lots of fake accounts, scammers, and all the other baggage that comes with dating apps. Ghosting is particularly bad and the AI responses it occasionally gives make me wonder if any of the conversations I’ve had are actually real.

Too Many Out of State Intros!
The Instagram ad says find someone locally and then the introductions include people across the country. The intros need to be limited to the location. It is a waste of time otherwise.
Was decent until it started crashing
Was fairly decent. Whatever AI / matchmaking tool is being used does show profiles that meet my preferences and likely would be compatible. Generally I like the layout and all that. However for the last week or so, every time I try to move past a specific profile, the app crashes. I’ve tried both liking and disliking both responses cause the app to just crash. Tried with two different versions as well.

After I entered verification code, the app stopped responding. Was curious to see how this app worked, but it’s buggy
Great for slowing down and finding stronger connections
Most dating apps seem to feed people short term dopamine hits by getting matches in quantity but not really isolating on quality.
Laguna attempts to really zone in on what makes a compatible match beyond just the superficial. I like how it iteratively tries to learn what type of person you’re looking for so you can find the perfect match. It’s a slower burn as others have said but it’s worth it for those looking for deeper connections.

Fun anticipation and Depth
I really enjoy the anticipation of waiting for a new match each day, and taking the time to explore each profile. The AI approach is unique and engaging, and it compels me to be more mindful about potential matches. Definitely a slower burn, not the mad swipe-fest of most dating apps, which I actually appreciate. It’s more about making a wonderful connection vs. sorting through tons of profiles. I enjoy having it in my rotation.

Not great.
Most of the people are in New York while I’m in Georgia. I don’t think people would want to drop a major amount of money to meet someone from so far away.
Not a lot of options to see
First, you have to submit 10 answers, then you have to wait 24 hours for suggestions, then when you search, there is no age limit. Then if you wanted to like during your search, it charges you $1.
I seriously don’t recommend this app, unless you wanna wait for one user at a time.

It’s great, but there’s a bug.
The bug is preventing me from adding facts about me (height, weight, interests, etc)
