Excellent Sound, Poor Implementation
I love this app, I really do, however the software bug that stops your saved presets from being able to be recalled when you close the app absolutely kills it for me, I spend time dialling in the sound that I like, and have to re-dial the sound every time I go to use the app. It’s a shame because the actual tones you can get from it are amazing, and really do provide a unique tone for modern metal.
To add to the frustration, I’ve reached out to Aurora multiple times only to be told that they’re aware of the issue and working on a fix for it. It has been nearly a year since my initial contact, and in that time there have been multiple new apps released yet no update for this one. Also, I’ve paid £35 for this, and I don’t find this acceptable.
In short, if you’re happy with using the factory presets, or you’re happy to dial in your tone every session, go for it, it sounds amazing and Aurora did an amazing job capturing the Ironheart. If you want to use this for live performances or recording, I’d say don’t until they fix this issue.
Edited: The fix that I’ve mentioned above has been released and I’m happy to say it now works as expected, so I’ve amended my star rating to 5 as the app is now everything I hoped it would be. Thanks Aurora!

Sounds great but sometimes fails to load in Cubasis
I really like the sounds from this amp sim. However as an Audio Units insert it loads very slow or not at all in Cubasis 3.7.5. I’m up to date with iOS 17.7.8 on my iPad. When this issue is resolved I’ll give it five stars. BTW I also have Rhino and Mammoth from these guys and I haven’t experienced this problem with these so far.

Awesome plugins
I buy these every time I see a new one. Awesome! Would it be possible to design some of these with more stereo control? I believe that’s the only thing keeping me from going iOS completely. Technology really has changed the last few years and I can’t wait to see new plugins that come out soon. Great job!

One of the best amp sims on iOS
I absolutely love this amp sim. It has incredible depth, from the stomp boxes, to the FX, to the EQ and tuners to the amp, cab , and Cab IR loader. It is very very true to life, and it’s incredible for metal and hi-gain sounds. This is definitely my go to for making metal. Aurora DSP really did an amazing job with the Ironheart, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for this amp or for hi-gain tones.
