This is my favorite reading light, it may not flicker like some reviewers would’ve liked, but for me this is the perfect app for reading. I’ve been using it to read to my little ones for years!
Sadly, with the latest iOS update, I can no longer use it! :( And the last update seems to have been seven years ago. I’ll miss (and the little ones will be sad too!) using this as my trusty and beloved reading light.

Works for me but weird annoying stripe of light at at the top
I love this app besides the weird annoying stipe of light at the top and the put your own picture button is my favorite thing because I can put a picture of my favorite kpop idols and anime waifus lol overall good app

I use it for reading. I often fall asleep while reading, so this is great. You can set your preferred time from 5-60 mins. The lantern brightness depends on your screen brightness. Just wishing that it has a more sleek look.
Ad box
The pop up ads in the free version make it redundant as a night light. Pushy ads like this don't prompt me to purchase, they just send me to a different app.

Pretty much makes your phone into nightlight, that turns off eventually by itself on a timer.
So okay, I totally understand the other reviews on here. It's true that this app is just a bunch of pictures of different lanterns...BUT you can choose the one with the colors you like, set its brightness, and set a timer for it. I actually use it every night to help me fall asleep. I'm 25 so I know this is freaking weird, haha, but I enjoy having a slight light in case I decide to have a drink of water, wanna use Chapstick, or other weird random things I realize I want to do while trying to fall asleep. This app works great for me and I'm happy with it. No idea the point of a pro version though - assuming no ads but they don't bother me. :)

This is one of those apps where you wonder why create this, when the ad bar is so bright but! You can deem the 'lantern'? I think you can better nightlight thru dollar store. Sorry.
If you want a light don't get this app
I like the lanterns but really no light at all umm so the name lantern light does not fit at all and I looked up reading light this does not fit at all goodbye lantern light. 👎👋😡
It's a waste of space
So, I imagined this would be soft light, perhaps flickering, like a lantern might. Or perhaps just that warm yellow glow that is the app's icon. NOPE. It's a picture of a lantern. There are several lanterns to choose from. Just, really? And there's a pro version? Is it a picture of TWO lanterns on the screen?

Not worth it
If you don't set it for the full night, when it times out, you go back to your fully lit screen. A black screen would be more useful. Plus the ads are bright. Defeats the purpose.

It's basically a bunch of photos of lanterns. The app doesn't do anything with them other than show you the photos. Waste of time!

Too Dim For Reading
I chose this app because of the pretty lantern pictures. It didn't work out for me because it was just too dim for reading. The white-background lanterns were a bit too bright.
